2 days of competitions over..

lost yesterday..pretty badly too..oh well, i can console myself by saying that my opponent's in the australia junior squad, top 10 i think..really need to improve my skills..why is it always not enough??..we played best of 7 in the ladies open lost in 4 straight sets, with the last set not getting any points at all.how embarassing is that?..hai...todaý i still lost, to a kid..haha..but still not too bad..at least i made him earn the win..haha..well, it's the experience that counts..

the atmosphere here is different too, there are players of all generations, the parents come down to watch their children play and support them, some of the parents play together too in other categories..they are a lot teenagers and they are all pretty darn good..u hardly get to see that kinda standard in singapore...or maybe jus cos i don't play in outside competitions at all back home, but one thing for sure, u dun get to see the family cheering squad in singapore...

back in singapore, back in TP, no matter how many trainings i go to religiously every week, i always seem to be below par..everything i do's always not enough..am i not trying hard enough?..or do i jus not have what it take??..

will start my weekly coaching sessions with Mr Kim next sunday onwards, it's a squad coaching 40 bucks for 5 weeks..as in 5 sundays..prolly after the winter break after i've worked i'll go for individual coaching which is 32 bucks for 45 minutes..

i really do hope i can improve my game with the help of coaching..

wednesday will be the semis in UQ under division 2..hopefully i've learnt something from my short stint in the competition outside of UQ to really win something back in school..the standard out there is really different..

so the question remains..do i move to play in division 1 next semester to play with the better players in a bid to improve myself??..or do i stick to playing in division 2 and be "up there" all the time...

i'm here to blog!!..haha..been kinda busy the past couple of days..

we gave Raymond a suprise birthday gretting at his place on monday night at the stroke of 12 midnite, he was quite shocked..haha..and we were of cos all very sleepy..me especially since i had a 8am maths class tuesday morning..tuesday night we made our way with 3 cars to Kangaroo Point for Raymond's birthday BBQ..

It's a pretty nice place, our background was a whole stretch of cliff/rock wall thingy..haha..there were a lot of people doing rock climbing there, and with the orange light shining on the cliff, it's was really a beautiful sight, in front of us was the Brisbane river, we had to shine torchlight on the pit cos there wasn't enough lighting.

Wednesday was ANZ day (i think they commemorate the people who died during the war or something), a public holiday for us, no school, stayed at home during the day, Sharon prepared lunch for 6 of us and Julia prepared a Chicken dish too..nice..haha., Sharon's friend, Karen came over, Julia stayed for dinner too, in the afternoon we played Monopoly!!..it's been such a loooong time since i last played any board game..it was fun..after dinner, Sharon borrowed Joel's car and drove with me and Julia to Sunnybank, picked up tommy at his place and we headed for supper..haha..went to little singapore again, and had milk tea..food's good..too full though, got really bloated.

Received sis's strings in the mail as well as the rulers and bookmarks Qiao Xiang sent me (love ya!!)..i LOVE receiving stuffs in the mail..haha..finally i did something for my International Business project today..so happy, gotta get more stuffs done..dinner was cooked by me today, attempted steam egg for the first time, taste not bad..hehe..but it could've looked more presentable, and did mince pork in sauce..nice..haha..i think mum's gonna be proud of me..haha

I know i haven't been exactly updating..well, i've been busy..and lazy..hhaha..nothing much to update bout though, cos i didn't exactly go out or anything..been staying at home.

For starters, school's started, and time is certainly passing very fast once school starts like wad mummy said..so fast, it's friday already, last week the time kinda jus left me for a while and slowly strolled by during the midsem break..jus had my 2 mid sem papers..yesterday was International Business Management, today's Maths..Maths paper ain't too bad..i SHOULD do pretty well, unless i got everything terribly wrong, shan't get my hopes too high, will jus take wadever comes my way, IB's not too bad, crapped a bit..ahhaha..couldn't really remember certain issues so i took out PEST Analysis from Marketing to talk about..haha..it's similar to the ones i learnt in IB but there's no technology difference...hahaa..and i talked about that..current issues too..i wonder if the marker will know wad i'm talking about...

got back my Finance Management results..ain't fantastic..but i passed..haha..27/40..sucky i know..gotta put in more effort for the final exam..60%..the mid sem was 40%..so i only got 27% so far for finance management..well, i'll look to elsewhere to get better grades then..hah..

YEAH!! mid sems are OVER!!..finally can relax a bit..next week hopefully can get some consistent work being done..consistent revision..i HOPE..haha..no more last minute for exams!!..for this 2 mid sems are not exactly last minute..maths was a little lax even..IB i had enough time..but could have prepared earlier..gotta start working on the group project and individual presentation for IB..Lena says to jus use Global Marketing template..should be able to score..haha...

Table tennis is abit off lately..changed both sides of the rubber to new ones..now the bat feels a little heavier..gotta get used to it soon..Wynuum Open's in another week!!..ah..no time to train for it..later go there kena thrash..haha..

A few more days, and i've been here for 2 months already!!!..which means..7 more months and i'm coming HOME!!!....i can't wait..once final exams come, winter break comes, and 2nd semester start, i have a feeling time will jus whoosh!! pass...haha..i can't believe that i actually said i can't wait for exams to come..haha..

I guess everyone know's what's on my mind lately, YES!!..entertainment..namely the Sony PSP. I've decided, to wait till the PC show in June in Suntec, which runs from 31st May to 3rd June, i checked it out already. Hopefully by then there will be some offers or promotion which i can take advantage of then, especially so for the Sony Memory Stick Duo which is quite expensive, crossing my fingers that it'll be cheaper during the PC show. Will be getting the modified version since it can play downloaded games. I'm gonna be patient this time, and maybe the patience will pay off. If there really isn't any offer, at least i can say that i waited..haha..

Engaged Steph's help to buy it for me, and getting my sis to pass it to Huimin's mum who will be coming over to Brisbane within the first 2 weeks of June, then i can save on the postage..hehe..

Oh ya, Sharon and Huimin came back from melbourne late wednesday night, went grocery shopping yesterday together with Julia and Angelene, what was unexpected was that K-Mart was having this 3 for 2 sale so we bought lots of toiletries..haha..year long supply??..i dun think so, but enough to last quite some time, our bags were doggone heavy..haha..and Huimin bought a Nintendo DS yesterday!!..nvm..patience, Sau Mun..u'lll get ur PSP in June!!.haha..

Oh ya, we resuffled the storage cupboard yesterday as well, we all kinda have our own space now to store stuff, then there won't be any mistakes in accidentally eating what's not ours..haha

oh man...it's the easter break...

mid-semester one week break to be exact..i'm so bored..thank god for table tennis..at least i have something to kill time with..

went with liwen and rosalind to the city on friday to catch a movie..watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles..not too bad..haha..time to cross that out from my "DVDs" to buy when i go back KL list..went out to Indooroopilly yesterday afternoon to walk around and get some stuffs from the supermarket..oh man..I'M SO TEMPTED TO BUY SONY PSP!!..can somebody buy for me??..haha...one shop's selling some of the games at 2 for 50 bucks..some pretty nice games too..if i had a psp i'd have bought it...i'm thinking of getting a PSP when i go back to singapore..so should i buy the games now??since the games are so expensive in singapore..hmm...thinking of getting stephanie to help me sell my gameboy SP thru ebay..get some cash to buy the PSP...

I'M SO DARN PROUD OF MY MUM...she switched on the com..and chatted with me via webcam all by herself..she finally learnt how to do it..haha..she was giving herself a ha!ha! laugh when she got the camera thing going..so funny..

went for table tennis jus now, got myself a club shirt..spent money AGAIN..darn it..and Stanley asked if i wanted to join an outside competition..he said i should so i signed up for the Wynuum Open on the 28th and 29th of April...since they said transport's probably not a problem since the people going have car so jus gonna go and jus give it a try and see how it goes..see if i can get myself a medal??..haha...we'll see how it goes..

AH!!!..

I WANT MY DAILY DOSAGE OF ENGLISH SERIES!!..I WANT LOST(SEASON 3), PRISON BREAK(SEASON 2), HEROES, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES(SEASON 2)...CSI!!!

i though i had a nice site to watch all my english dramas like peekvid.com, i watched episodes 1 and 2 of the new season of prison break on that site and i was like uber happy..then when it came to episode 3..the site kinda died on me..seems like all the shows can't be watched!!..WHY!!??

i now get my daily fix of TVB dramas from crunchyroll.com, but even so, we hafta watch our download capacity too..cos the house only has 20GB of quota each month, once the quota is reached, the connection speed will be slowed down tremendously..and download i dun mean as in songs..if anyone dun noe by now, jus by opening a site or watching a show on youtube or in my case crunchyroll, it's already downloading..and cos there's no tv in the house..my laptop's the only entertainment i have rite now..

i went to walk around Toowong jus now, went to K-Mart, saw that they had Desperate Housewives 2 DVD on sale...I WAS SO TEMPTED TO BUY!!!..but it's 60bucks..man..how??..the even have the complete season of the hit series Charmed, i was also tempted to buy although i've already finished watching all of them back in singapore...TV TV TV!!!ARGH!!!...

now waiting for the parcel to arrive which was sent i think almost 2 weeks ago..which means..3 more weeks..i think there's 2 DVDs inside for me..courtesy of Miss Sim Hsi Lun..such a dear to get me the DVDs i wan..hehe..love ya!!..and also waiting to see wad else my family dumped into the parcel to make it weigh 7KG..haha..hmm..3 more weeks to go!!..

oh man..TMR's THE TEST!!! AT FRIGGING 8AM!!!..HOW!!?? i've studied..am i confident??..i seriously have no idea man..i hope i can pass it tomorrow..after tomorrow..life will be easier..not so choked up..will prolly spend most of my mid-sem break studying for Maths and International Business tests which is after the break..no more last minute pls..

actually for finance management is not so last minute also, past few days have been browsing through and practising some questions..luckily for me the 4th topic tested which is on shares is much easier to understand, so at least this topic is more relaxed..but will be going back to practising the questions after i finish blogging..

Grandma's out in singapore..Glad to hear from mummy that her leg is feeling better and she is also having a better appetite out here than back in KL..she chatted with my cousin in London yesterday at my auntie's house..let's see if i can talk to her for a bit later via web cam as well..

and oh ya..bought a small bedside table and i changed to a bigger table..bought from IKEA..got a lift from Raymond to go to IKEA...assembled myself with the help of qianhui..quite a nice sense of accomplishment..but tough job too..but feel sooo much better with a bigger table to study in..more space to spread out my notes, books and still have lotsa space for my laptop...will take a picture of my new study space as well a new addition to the room when i have more time next week...hehe..
