before ya'll start throwing stuffs at me, let me just say that i've been busy with assignments all week...i have a mid sem paper, product and brand management on thursday, gonna start revising soon, and another advertising assignment due next wed..

being busy with all these assignments is a good thing, why do i say so, cos it also signifies the fact that i'm coming home soon!!! another 2 more months!! i can't WAIT!!..i promised my parents to try and do better for the exams this semester, i wanna do better too so that i can go home in PEACE..dun have to worry bout the possibility of flunking..

SHAWN WON CAMPUS SUPERSTAR!! although i have to admit that Benjamin was clearly the better singer that night..well..life's like tt sometimes..

Teacher's Day's coming, can't seem to get a decent card here, the shops are all selling father's day cards..should i send something back??..hmm..maybe a letter to Mdm Pang will do..haha..

Another thing, i think my culinary skills have certainly improved..HAHAHA, shall go back and cook for my family, and whoever that has KOU FU..lolz..my success dishes last week, Sweet & Sour ribs on monday and Coffee Ribs on tuesday..hehe...

Sorry for the lack of updates these few days, was sick after i came back from job training on saturday, all the way till monday, couldn't sleep the whole night on saturday, having headache and my legs were killing me...

well, went for EKKA yesterday!! haha, finally, one and only time..

One whole day of fun and laughter, the whole house wore red and white to school today, there were quite a number of Singaporeans wearing red and white too..quite a nice scene..

Had a full load of Uni today, 3 lectures and 1 tutorial, went home with Sharon after that to a very decent meal prepared by Huimin for 7 people..nice dishes cooked, lots of pictures taken, lots of singing and laughing and grooving to the music, we were playing NDP theme songs in the background, songs for this yr as well as from long time ago, the song playing on my blog now is from 1992, i couldn't really remember it at first, but it soon came back to me as they repeated this song quite a number of times when i was in primary school, a very sweet and nice song..anyone recall??

We were kinda blasting our music and singing along, good company, mini celebration, tried to watch the NDP live telecast but our internet was too slow cos we finished our 20GB quota for the month already, it'll be slow all the way till the 18th, so it was a bit too laggy, but we did catch a bit of it, well, shall go to school tmr and see if mobtv has it for download, hehe, i've got a month of mobtv thanks to adeline and her "project" shall download campus superstar as well as the new shows Kinship and Honour & Passion..

Yikes, too much entertainment, not enough time, to study...oh no, i only have 3 days of Uni per week but where has my spare time gone to?? i seriously need to start studying man..

Alright, shall upload pictures in my next post, lots of it, from today as well as from the Amazing G-Race that i had the other day..

It jus kinda occured to us that tomorrow's NATIONAL DAY, well, if i'm in Singapore, it's nothing much to hype about. I don't know if it's cos of the fact that we are away from home, it kinda hits us hard that we are overseas and not back home watching the NDP parade at home or wearing red or something that signifies the day or perhaps if one works in the retail line, we would prolly have to work on the day so nothin much bout it as well.

As me and Huimin were reminiscing about past NDP songs and watching videos on Youtube and singing along, we began searching for past songs that left a huge impression on us. We were just talking about it and realised that we are kinda thinking of the same songs, specifically sung by Tanya Chua, Stefanie Sun as well as Kit Chan. It's surprising that we can actually remember the lyrics after so many yrs.

Honestly speaking, once u step out of the education system, namely secondary school for me, u kinda just lose track of which theme songs are for which year. Just take for instance, there was a year that was sung by Kaira Gong, we only know it when we searched for it on Youtube.

Something that's really close to my heart is this song by Tanya Chua, particlarly for me mainly because although i'm technically not a Singaporean, but i was born and bred in this tiny red dot on the map, i grew up in the environment, known friends that makes a difference in my life and friends that became close buds and sisters, as well as known a whole lot of other people that has made an impact in my life. This song was sung when i was Sec 3, ah, those PYSS days, the most happening, happiest, crappiest, shittiest, all those tears, sweat, definately the most significant part of my life. A chapter of my life that is bookmarked and flipped back every now and then to think about those times that i've had.

And being here in Australia now, there are lots of people that are thinking of staying here after graduation, be it permanently or for a few years, for me, the thought never really crossed my mind, home is where i wanna be, and although i've made a lot of good friends, ultimately, nothing beats being home with my family and friends, and people/place i am familiar with. Not that i am not thankful for this valuable life experience but, i really can't wait to be home.

oh yeah, another song is the one when i was in Sec 4 by Stefanie Sun, the one where there was a dance to it, i remembered that i was trying to memorise the steps and getting my friends to do it with me but they were all reluctant to do so...

IT's AUGUST PEOPLE!!!! 3 MORE MONTHS!!! I'M COMING HOME!!! YIPPIE!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!..

2nd week of school has started, went for tutorials on wednesday, and all the dates are coming at me already, it's really scary, all the individual assignments and a couple of group projects.

slept late last night cos after table tennis went over to Karen, Wei Har & Alicia's place to eat CHAR KWAY TEOW!!! it's the healthy kind but it's NICE!! cos Karen's a food science/Home Ec teacher so everything must be those healthy healthy kind..haha..slept around 2am cos was playing PSP..dumb la, especially when thursday for me was such a long day, with 3 lectures and a tutorial starting at 10am all the way till 6.

missed the first lecture and tutorial this morning, feeling so guilty, no more missing classes next week, i only have 3 days of class per week, so better make full use of it..
