What can i say, when i can't find the words to possibly explain, what i'm feeling inside..

These fluctuations of emotion, is really hard to bear at times, and it's tiring me out..

There's so much on my mind, i still can't get over that fact that you are no longer around..

What can i do? I don't want to feel like this, but how can i be happy, knowing that i will never see you again..

Fighting A Losing Battle

Gosh, this is harder than i thought, so much on my mind lately, i need an outlet. This is a struggle as i type this out. I'm sure there are alot of friends wondering how i'm coping, having to repeat myself so many times is tiring as it is. Am i lying if i say i'm ok? What if i'm not, i'm trying to be, it's been more than 6 months, i should be able to take whatever news that might come my way. This is my first post in a long time, a recollection of thoughts from when it all began..

It's been more than half a year since Mum got diagnosed with stomach cancer, terminal stage. Recalling CNY earlier this year, with the shop officially opened at the start of the year, we were all glad i could take a few days off for a break in KL. My family had stayed a few more days in KL while i came back first to tend to the shop. She was already feeling abit under the weather when we were in KL, we all brushed it off as the common flu, who would have known that she never recovered from this "flu".

It didn't help that they sought a doc's advice in KL and consumed some whack medicine that made her "flu" worse. When they finally came back to Sg, a visit to the clinic, the GP suggested that it was best we sent her to the hospital. That time, i was still very confused as to what was happening. I thought it was just a regular visit to the hospital, i came back from work one day and realised she wasn't home, Doc had suggested for her to be warded for more tests.

They finally found the source in the form of a stomach ulcer that was already bleeding out spreading the cancer cells to the bone marrow, hence explaining her blood problems. Being diagnosed with cancer is like as if a death sentence had been passed down, our lives would never be the same again from then on. After spending a few days in the intermediate care for her condition to stabilise, she was finally transferred to the oncology ward, which to me just looked depressing from the moment i stepped into the room, everyone looked really sick or dying. It didn't help that the doctors stressed on the fact that "You have to be prepared, your mum is really sick". There wasn't a day of good sleep, each day ended with a tear-soaked pillow, we never really got to accept the news.

I began to drift away from my friends, i didn't know how to tell the news to anyone when we couldn't handle it ourselves. My family has always been one with lots of laughter, how do i tell my uncles that their beloved sister has cancer and will probably be leaving them soon, how do i tell my grandmother that her favorite daughter will leave this world before her. How do i keep lying that the doctors are still trying to figure out what is wrong with her. Being tired out from hospital trips day in day out, I get frightened by the phone ringing at night. We couldn't hide it any longer, after breaking the news to everyone, relatives started coming down to Sg to visit. At first it was really heart-warming, then it became really frustrating. What do you do when A suggests to try this method and B says to eat this and not eat that? Who do i listen to? When i did not do as i was told, i was labeled as "not putting in effort" which i felt was really unfair since from the beginning, i was at the hospital EVERYDAY, who can say that i didn't put in effort. Everyone has work, I HAVE WORK TOO! No doubt i put it aside for a month because the news was too much to handle but i had to return to work too, it would be too unfair on my partners if i had been away for too long.

So for another month i was running between work and hospital, and finishing work only after 12am, slept till the morning at 9 only to have been labeled once again "sleep till so late?!" WTF?

Mum was hospitalised for close to 2 months, but once they found the source and had started chemo, her condition stabilized when it seemed that her body was reacting well to the chemo and her situation was under control. At the beginning, it really felt as if she wasn't going to ever walk out of the hospital again. To receive the news of being able to be discharged came as a relief to everyone.

As we slowly digested the news, I started to let my friends know what has happened, many of whom were sorry for but there was nothing they could do to ease the pain. However, letting them know my struggles, seemed to have lifted a bit of pressure off.

Then it was in and out of admission for various complications, i told myself that if there was ever a need for admission again, i will not let it affect my work, i will spend time in the hospital, and just as much time at work. And then it was shuttling between work and hospital, spending the night in the hospital just to catch the doc's rounds in the morning and it was off to work again. Which proved to be costly as my body couldn't take the harsh conditions of the hospital and work together and it finally broke down..

Through these difficult times, I've managed to make another bunch of new friends, the nurses at the oncology ward, I figured that if i have to spend so much time in the hospital, i would be better off if i didn't pissed the nurses off. No idea how we managed to hit-it-off, but i do remember that i used to dislike the nurses there, heck, i HATED everything about Ward 48. But i guess the late night visits, the occasional chit chats we had, and plus they were all around the same age as me, all helped in the road to finding back the laughter of the "cheong family".

Knowing she was in good hands at Ward 48 made it easier for me to go back to work. In the blink of an eye, we were out of the hospital for almost a month without much complications...

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, I was spending alot more time at work to make up for lost time before, Dad was the one taking care of Mum most of the time at home since he works half days now. A call at work and i had to rush to the A&E ASAP cos she was admitted again for pain and persistent diarrhea. The situation at home was tense, hospital trips were never a family affair because i didn't want to quarrel in a public place. I was tired, tired of always being the one around the hospital, because if there was any bad news, i would have to be the one to hear it first, i'm the youngest in the family, it doesn't work this way for me to handle things like that. Hearing you say you can't take leave from work to be in the hospital in the morning frustrates me because i am SICK and TIRED of these bullshit. I work too!!! How do you expect me to go to work for 14 hours when i don't get enough rest...

Slowly i started to distant myself from the things happening at home, i wanted to let go, was chemo prolonging life or extending her suffering, i couldn't tell the difference anymore.

Then came the day of the doc appointment, Dr requested to speak to me after dad pushed mum out of the room. He was going to stop chemo permanently as it wasn't helping anymore, doing more chemo will only add to her suffering. Her latest CT results showed that her cancer cells has progressed and increased in size which meant that her body was showing resistance to the different chemo used. The plan from now as was to just treat the different symptoms like pain and bloatedness as they came along. Dr said to be prepared, we are looking at months, less than 3 months to be exact. All till this point, i was fine, then tears came free flowing, i wasn't sobbing, it was just that the tears couldn't stop flowing. I don't know how i was feeling, was i relieved? Was i sad? Was i in pain? I told the doc: "I'm ok", before drying my tears and walking out of the room.

The dreaded day has arrived. Tried calling my auntie but there was no pick up on the other end. I thought i'll be ok, but the tears just wouldn't stop flowing. How do i tell her that they will be taking out her central line permanently and she won't need to do chemo anymore. I sent out text msges to a few friends cos i didn't know who to turn to. I was prepared for a day like this, but i wasn't prepared how to break the news. I could accept it on my own, how do i convince others to accept the fact for what it is without people condemning me for seemingly giving up...

I'm not giving up, but right from the get-go, we were already fighting a losing battle. The outcome has already been decided, what was different was the amount of damaged done physically and emotionally. It will be painful letting her go, but it pains me more to see her suffer so much.

Friends say "Be Strong". I say "I Will"... i will be strong in learning to let go..

好久没写日记了。。
这两个星期变成煮饭婆了，妈妈一个多礼拜前在家门口跌倒了，伤到脊椎骨，你能想象吗，一个被压扁的汽水灌，其中一届有稍微的骨折，这可需要6到8个星期的时间才能愈合，妈妈常看的物理治疗师说，这段时间最关键，千万千万不能再跌倒了，要不然后果会很严重。

刚开始那几天，妈真的很痛，我看到心也疼，只好在家照顾她，洗衣煮饭什么的，也能说上是庆幸吧，因为我暂时没全职工，所以时间还蛮松的，就多点留在家里，陪她去看医生，没去打球，也没上健身房。爸也蛮奔波的，一有时间就会回来，载我们去医院，看中医师，看物理治疗师。从跌倒那天下来的一个星期，我的日常生活，平时做的东西，都停止了。

我发现了一样东西，我好喜欢煮饭哦，看到吃的人赞不绝口，我也很开心，只是不是很喜欢洗碗。。哈哈。。

昨天妈告诉我说，她觉得好多了，躺和坐起来的时候也没那么痛了，听了之后，我也放心多了，毕竟到了一个年龄，跌倒可不是一件小事。。还是要谢谢我吉隆坡的亲戚们，知道了后，都很关心，我大舅母还特地打电话出来问候呢。。

还是亲情可贵！

This blog of mine has kinda been neglected since i do updates on facebook. Hah, anyways, i've been trying to start on an exercise regime which has since been halted when it barely started cos of my swollen eyes. It's the "feng-mo" thingy that i have at least once a year, Sharon recalls me having it when i was still in Brissy. My eyes were so puffed up that i lost my double eyelids and one could only see half my eyes, i looked terrible so i stayed at home the entire thursday when i was supposed to go for gym classes in the morning.

Gymed on Monday, played basketball ol' school style at the neighbourhood CC, got to know a group of people that plays table tennis regularly at tampines sports hall through a forum linked from Raymond's blog, so i went down to cure the itch on wednesday, ultimate shiokness, shall aim to play table tennis at least once a week.

Scoopz didn't need me on friday so i didn't go down for work, felt that my eyes were better so i headed down to meet my brissy gang for our usual dinner session, had i known we were going to Suntec i might have given it a miss cos i forgot that it was the comex weekend, so it was CROWDED. Crowds give me headaches, haha, supposed to head down to Newton Food Centre but it was closed, nearly cabbed down when liwen called to tell me the place was closed and heading to Suntec instead.

Work was ok today, top of my eyes still a little puffy so i wore my specs to work so that the focus won't be on my unnatural double eyelids.

Emailed the immigration to ask about my citizenship, the reply was that it is still under "active consideration", and i have no idea what the heck that means.

Patience is the key although i don't know how long more i can hold out. I wanna go on a HOLIDAY!! but i have no money!..sadzz

Popo's Kaya Making Session (Secret Recipe)

Made kaya today at Popo's place with Shiow Chui Jie Jie. It was supposed to be a hush-hush affair in the kitchen but because they were fixing something in the kitchen so in the end we had to make it in front of the house where the neighbours could see us and people walking in and out of the house. They were trying to ask Popo about the exact recipe but she didn't exactly say. She say cannot reveal to outsiders, only family can be taught. HAHA!! So pardon the lack of pictures although we took down the whole process but only the beginning and the end can be shown cos this is SECRET FAMILY RECIPE!!..hahahhaha

I'm in KL!!!! As usual, my cousins are forever hospitable, bringing me for good food, giving me a nice room to stay, i'll normally stay at my cousin's place if i'm alone in KL cos i'll be bored to death if i were to stay at Popo's place.

Peace Out - MIA for 4 days

NDP this year had my emotions all messed up. Maybe i am too emotional, but i was touched by this year's performances and arrangement, especially the NDP songs, they get me choked up with tears most of the times. The different chapters, one of Singapore's achievements thus far, when the table tennis victory over the South Korean was shown, flashbacks of August 08 came running through my mind, and for a second i got to relive the moment where Tianwei and gang gave Singapore our first Olympic medal ever since independence. The olympics, one event that made a change to my life, got to know a new friend, more lots more new friends, life became much more interesting after Aussieland. 谢谢某人让我生活更精彩。

BUT i can't help but feel that all these is rather ironic, why, you may ask, because i am NOT a Singapore citizen, i hold a Malaysia passport. Then negative thoughts start infiltrating my mind again, it has been 6 months, 6 LONG months since my date of application for Singapore citizenship, i can still remember what the officer told me:
1) You are born in Sg, no problem.
2) You are a university graduate, no problem.
3) You GREW UP in Sg, no problem.
Then what seems to be the problem for the long wait here, i possess everything they require, oh heck, i can recite the pledge, sing the national anthem, i can sing our national day songs in 4 languages no less. I know patience is the key, but i do get sick of waiting sometimes, and with people pestering me give ICA a call to enquire about the application, it just GETS ON MY NERVES!!! And when things like that happens, i just want to get away from Singapore, and my wish shall be granted. I'm heading BACK to KL for 4 next week, to learn some culinary skills from my grandma, and to take a break from the frustrations here.

Tasks to do tomorrow:
1) Swim if the weather is fine, gym if the weather is not.
2) Head down to Novena Square to get my bus tickets to KL.
3) Trim my hair.
4) Dinner with the brisbanites at cityhall.

Well look at the time, 2.40am, i went to bed at 11:45pm and couldn't get to sleep, and they usually say when one can't get to sleep, it's mainly because they are stressed out or have things in their mind. I guess blogging's a good way to lift the heavy rock from my heart.

WOOHOO!!!! CHAMPIONS IN POL-ITE TABLE TENNIS!!!! so proud of the girls man, each and everyone of them did a GREAT job, even when losing they put up a really good fight and gave everyone a good show to watch. 实至名归的冠军！！Cos this yr we won EVERYONE!! No concessions given!! The NYP game was really a thriller match, left me with a REALLY REALLY SEXY voice today, but everything was worth it!

Kudos to the guys team as well for getting a bronze, i'm sure u guys did ur best as well, it's never an easy battle in the guys category but we still got a placing! Strive on and continue training hard!!

been cooped up at home fore 3 days now, wanted to head out for a swim when the sun was bright and shining on monday but was really tired out from the weekend work. wasn't that appealing to go swim on tues and wed cos it looked like it might rain anytime so didn't head out as well. so wad have i been doing for 3 days at home? on the computer duh, facebook-ing, farmville-ing and mafia war-ing, and as usual watching my TVB drama, it has become a dread to plug out the HDD to play it on the DVD player that i just watch the show straight from my sis's PC since it boasts a 19 inch screen. goes to show that i can't stay home doing nth for too long, i get TOO lazy.

oh well, it's off to work now, all the way till sunday, oh rite, gotta head down to ECP to book the pit for the Aug 1st brissy mates reunion!..

Been busy with work for a couple of weeks now, Leng Sie's on leave in China for 17 days so work has been pretty crazy. Last week apart from Mon and Tues, i was working everyday, but even with that i was busy with meetups. Went for movie/dinner session with frens from Scoopz, after dinner i headed down to raffles city to meetup with the brisbane peeps for chit-chat session as it was Huimin's first day at work so we had to hear about it, haha. Tuesday the guys from PYSS had a chalet for celebrating 10 yrs of friendship and invited us down for BBQ, a pity Yenn was away in Shanghai, it was a nice catch-up session although i left early as i had a steamboat date with my Tianwei gang, haha.

Work has been frustrating, thank goodness for my wonderful colleagues, am getting so pissed at Boss lately. So disappointed, i really wanna settle my citizenship fast and get myself a real job! Shiau Yun was nice enough to offer to take my friday shift, so i could go down to TPY sports hall to cheer on our local paddlers, i've heard the hype about Isabelle Li but i've never seen her in action before, saw her and the rest of the team play at the AYG, she really do have lots of potential, i wish her all the best!

Saw in the papers today some news regarding the iPhone 3Gs, seems like Singtel's allowing it's iPhone customers to trade in for the new phone at various prices and the contract will reset at 24 months, hmm, should i or shouldn't i? Shall wait for the price to be up and consider my options. 3 MP camera does sound better than 2, faster surfing speed and startup of apps, video recording/editing, sounds enticing..hehe

Work this week is crazy again, it's been a rather hot few months now in Singapore, but these few days has been rather cooling and breezy, which is always welcomed, saves on the electricity bill too. But with occasional showers like it's happening now, there goes my mood for swimming..sigh...

Time to blog about some overdue pics in my phone. I have been needing to recover from my 2 weeks away from Singapore, everyone's telling me i look like crap nowadays. But never really accomplishing my task since i can only fall asleep at 2am or later every night. And, i finally managed to sleep early last night, before 12am! Which is quite a feat for me, why? Cos Huimin, Sharon and myself went to pick up our 1st homecoming arrival from Brisbane yesterday morning at 6am! Ok, we were late, haha, cos we had difficulty waking up so we reached at bout 6.20am. Our dear liwen touched down at 5.15am, though her plane was scheduled for a 5.50am landing. We picked her up covered in masks of cos, she is back from Australia where the swine is quite serious, or so it says, haha, well, we just had to do that, soak in the fun! After that we went for breakfast at Changi Village, then sent her home all the way down to the WEST!

I cat-napped on her sofa for a while at her place cos i was totally washed out, afterwhich we headed to Bukit Panjang Plaza for a little walk, with masks on, Huimin had it on most of the time so almost everyone gave us a 2nd glance, haha, i said if we all wear shirts that indicate us being back from Australia, it will really scare the living daylights out of everybody. Ha, after that Huimin sent us all home, met Sharon and Liwen again at 5+ in the evening at Bugis cos Liwen wanted to get herself a phone, BUT, she didn't bring her IC, so no phone for her, i wonder if she has gotten it today. And i changed my plan to the iFlexi plan to really fully utilise the iPhone's functions. Headed down to Suntec to meet my sis for gym session after that, Body Combat!! Woo Hoo!!

Woah, it's getting all dusty in here...finally here to clear some spiderwebs.

You almost won't believe where i am posting this entry from, an internet cafe in KL, near my grandma's place. I just got too bored lazing around at home with nothing to do, no TV to watch, no internet to use, it's almost back in olden days. Nothing much to shop around also since Pa probably doesn't know his way around as much, so in case we get lost, we decided not to venture out into anywhere foreign that we've never been to before.

Well, at least we have Shiow Shen's car, so we still get to go around a bit, waiting for cabs can be a drag sometimes. She's gonna be in Penang for 2 weeks, so we get to use her car. Thanks Shiow Shen, Pa washed the car for u too!..haha

It's been a hectic June so far. Was in China from 2nd to the 9th, reached Singapore on the 10th and headed for KL again on the 12th night. Really tired from all the travelling, but still managed to sneak some time in between to check out the PC fair, which i got myself the Toshiba Mini Notebook at 800 bucks, might be a bit of an impulse i might say, but heck, what's done cannot be undone.

China trip was ok, if i had more time to interact with her it might have been better, but it was still alright i guess, i got to see what Joe Gor Gor was really up to in China, knowing more about his business and letting the family on to what he is doing in Shanghai, haven't seen this cousin of mine for more than 3 years now, so it was nice catching up with him. Maiden trip to China. if you don't count Hong Kong and Macau as China, was really an eye-opener, like i've mentioned in a sms to Mdm Pang, it's amazing how we are of the same race and yet i can still experience culture shock. But they have really improved alot, but it's out there in other countries that you begin to appreciate what your country has been doing, from the courtesy campaigns, to the keep our environment clean campaigns, the non smoking almost everywhere sign, the no food and drinks in trains rule.

Went to Suzhou for 3 days to watch Tianwei play in the Harmony China Open, she did ok i guess, maybe the lost to Kim Kyung Ah was a bit unjustified, but at the point it was really who was playing on form, better in terms of mentality and skills-wise. Managed to talk to her for a bit, though a little regret cos i didn't let her know i was in the same hotel as her in Suzhou, but it was alright. Watching her play live is always exciting. Saw her play again in the China vs World Challenge in Shanghai on Monday, a day before i head back to Sg. It was funny to see how a team of English/Korean speaking Korean and Coach, a Romanian whom i don't think speaks Chinese, and a Singaporean that understands a bit of english here and there but not quite fluent enough for a conversation, interact with one another, esp with the coach when she has to tell them about the tactics for the games, during the drawing ceremony and the mini breaks, it was really like a mini charade going on, but a good experience for all of them and could see that they were enjoying it away from the usual tense ITTF Pro Tour. heck of cos they were enjoying it, the losing team picks up USD40K too, ain't that nice. Before Tianwei went in i asked her if she understood the coach, she said: "不是听得太懂", and ended off with a little giggle.

In KL now, Grandfather's 93rd bday celebration at the house was on Saturday, nothing fanciful, just a simpled catered dinner for family members, although the food was really not quite up to standard, but it was a nice time spent with cousins and nephews. Parents wanted to head up to Genting for a day to check out the casino but i told them i didn't bring any shoes back with me, if i'm not allowed into the casino with birkis then i'll be left stranded outside again so decided not to take the risk, so we ended up with boring days of lazing around doing nth in the hot weather, Popo ask Mummy to make Curry Bao today, i tried my hands on making them as well, not as fluid in doing the Bao but still alright. Finally heading home tmr, seriously NEED to pack my room and take out everything from my old laptop and start getting the new one up and running with everything that's needed to be installed up and running..

Blogging is such an amazing thing, or should i say the internet is such an amazing technology. I went to read Huimin's archived blog entries, dated August 9 2007. I can still remember the episode so clearly as i was reading her entry on Sharon's snoring. Haha, the 3 of us had already retreated to our room, as usual after a casual chat, Sharon was the first to knock out, followed by me, and Huimin was still typing away on her laptop. I was trying to sleep, something kept me up. It's was Sharon's "deep breathing", so i sat up, looked over to the bewildered Huimin, haha, and i told her, I CAN'T SLEEP!! Cos that particular night, her breathing was thunderous! But Sharon was already in deep sleep, so Huimin and I did something really out of this world, she took out her phone and RECORDED Sharon's output, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

The amazing thing is, after recording, Huimin played it, and the both of us were trying to keep our laughter in but not really working, but still, that did not wake Sharon up. Really tired out so I tried to sleep with the additional sound in the room..haha

But i guess, as times go by, we really got used to one another's habits, being the latest waker in the room, i used to be woken up by them preparing for school, but after a while, they could be opening the noisy cupboard door and going into the shower that howls when it's turned on, and it'll be my turn to be in lala land, and Sharon and Huimin's turn to be in awe of me still in dreamyland oblivious to the commotion they are making..

Tennis on wednesday morning at 9am!! That was a real shocker, waking up so early for sports. But it was a nice game, albeit hot though but still enjoyable, huimin joined me and cousin yenn for a game of tennis in TP. Friday was badminton with Pearlyn, huimin and this time yenn tagged along as well. Really good game, i'm improving!! I can now hit back some of huimin's smacks, haha. After that we went to shop around the 3 malls in Tampines cos we needed to get something for someone far away. HAHA, and i bought a new set bedsheets from MCKY @ Tampines 1. Seriously, i feel that Tampines 1 is over-rated.

Happy Mothers' Day!!..and a Happy Birthday to dearest Mdm Pang as well, although she clearly does not read my blog, or even know of its existence.

Anyway, was really happy to see her the other day, saw a familiar looking face coming down the escalator when i was working at Scoopz, had to be sure it was her before i went up to say hi, and looking at the 2 kids in tow, i was sure i got it correct. Well, it's been more than a year since i last saw her during CNY at her house. Had a little chat with her, update her on the things i've been doing although we do exchange sms-es sometimes. It was a classic moment when she asked about filming and if Dai Yangtian was 帅. And i was like "woah", hmm, he's definately above average, haha. Her kids have grown beautifully, her daughter Yi An's so cute and a pretty looking kid for her age. Sent her a card for her birthday and she sent me a sms saying that she's really touched that i remembered her birthday, she dropped by Scoopz to say hi yesterday too, but it was a busy day for us so i only had time to say hi/bye.

Let's see, we had Tony Roma's for dinner today at Suntec City as a form of celebration, it was not as crowded as we have expected it so it was nice, not having to squeeze with everyone for spcae. Bumped into Eddy there too, but it was so sudden as i didn't see him, so my mind went blank when he snapped his fingers in front of me to get my attention, only said hi and see ya, which was kinda bad, ha, but i didn't know how to react at that time, and it wasn't really appropriate asking about the STTA issues at that moment so i didn't. Suntec City had some kinda promotion going on where you spend a certain amount and you can exchange them for free "dollars"tickets to go play at the carnival upstairs. Kinda like kid stuff like throwing rings at bottles, ping pong balls at containers to win tokens, i would never had expected my parents to be playing that but my mum and dad joined in at throwing the stuffs and mind you it was not all easy peasy, spent all "$30" in exchange for 3 tokens which in turned was exchanged for a glue stick. Haha, but it was all in good fun, if only we had that captured on camera, that would be nice.

Stumbled upon liwen's blog from shannen's site, it was just a different spelling as the previous one, instead of movincheese, it was movincheeZe. Read it, felt it, thinking about things said and how i couldn't agree more, so glad that she's coming back next month! Along with Sarah, and Sharon's gonna be back for a break too!! yeap yeap, can't wait for an exciting month of June, but speaking of June, that means that half of 2009 is gone...WAD HAVE I DONE????!!!! it's may already, and i'm still waiting for that letter from immigration.

the house feels different this morning... lack of noise, lack of fun, nobody pouncing on us to wake us up from our sleep, nobody doin wacky stuff to make us laugh, nobody "fighting" with me... OH and the house is in its MESSY-est state ever... thanks to our two princesses. huimin & saumun. :Pyea, they have gone back to singapore... almost the whole J1 gang, old & new ones sent them off to the airport... hugs, eye-contacts & words were definitely lacking...guess everyone was afraid that that one warm hug, that one longer-than-usual- eye-contact or that one wrong word would trigger emotions and cause tears to flow...everyone wanted huimin to return to singapore in a joyous mood...from the lame jokes that we cracked when we were having dinner to singing all the national day songs in the car on our way to the airport, everyone tried hard to lighten the mood...indeed, we are all gonna miss huimin. our lifegroup will be different i guess, now that there is one LOUD voice missing, one dedicated heart missing, one awesome musician missing. i feel that it is here in brisbane, whereby all of us are away from home, that close friendships are built. friends are like family here. we dun have to hide the ugly side of ourselves, cos we know one another so well, that we are just comfortable being ourselves...i love the fact that we really do life together...frm doing simple stuff like grocery shopping, cooking , watching shows, acting stupid, playing games to even sharing our deepest thoughts with one another...these are probably things you would not get an opportunity to do with your friends back home in singapore, cos we probably stay far away from one another and would be too busy either with work or something...

Wanted to upload a video here to share but somehow my converter's not working all that well so didn't managed to get it down. Instead i shared it on facebook. For most of you who know me, will know that i'm a TVB addict, i loved the show Heart of Greed when it came out as well as the sequel Moonlight Resonance. In the show, i loved the chemistry between Linda Chung and Raymond Lam, as well as the subtheme of the show "Sum Ling", it has been my phone's ringtone for as long as i can remember and i can never get sick of the song. I don't know if any of you have any problems when u open my blog because for me the song seems to only run for 30 secs. Anyways, about these 2 people, everytime they take the stage together, they just look so sweet together, if only all the rumours were true and they were REALLY together. In the meantime, i can only look forward to future collaboration between the 2 of them. Check out the video on my FB page if you have the time and are as interested in TVB stuff as me. Can't help but break out a smile when i see them perform this song together.

Went out for a much awaited badminton session with Huimin and Pearlyn this afternoon. Huimin and I had initially planned badminton sessions for 2 times but didn't managed to fulfill it in the end cos of some circumstances. Nevertheless, we managed to do it today! And 2 hours split amongst 3 people won't take the steam off me that easily, haha, can spread the load. My shirt was wet with perspiration today, a pity that Huimin couldn't join us for lunch as her mum cooked but Pearlyn and I had a nice little chat over lunch at Tampines Mall.

Next up, SUPPER NEXT MONDAY!! AND TUESDAY BADMINTON TO WORK OFF THE FATS!!

Somehow, it doesn't feel right anymore, do you get the feeling when you look at something or someone and the emotion that runs within is not the same anymore? It's kinda scary how being away for some time can change a person.

I really like swimming, i usually think alot while swimming, and when resting at the side, soaking in the sunshine. Having been back in Singapore for quite some time now, I've really noticed alot of stuffs.

I've noticed how certain things happen around our little island, and it'll hog the newspaper headlines for a few days, till something "big" happen again and the previous incident will be forgotten. First it was the "phantom workers", then came the news of Newton Circus overcharging our tourists, then it was some serious food poisoning that killed a few people and now the NEA renewing their hygiene practices and the labeling of the cleanliness of the stalls, and after the fading news of charity corruption, now we have the all-righteous Ren Ci under scrutiny. I really don't get it, people who run charities, what are charities? It's a form of Not-For-Profit Organisation. Cos with charities, the money comes from the general public, the money used to run the facilities and fund the basic salary of the staff, all comes from the public, even a tinniest portion might come from some poor kid deciding to starve himself for a day to give his/her allowance to that tin can. How can ANYONE at all, use the money obtained for any kind of personal use at all, NKF was like that, now Ren Ci. Who still has confidence and trust to drop that spare change into a donation box now you tell me.

I've been reading the papers alot nowadays, and my oh my do Singaporeans like to complain, they complain about every single thing under the sky that doesn't feel right for them. Recently i saw in one of the mini entries written into the papers, stating that if the MRT decides that food and drinks are STRICTLY prohibited on trains and platforms, where do we see MRT stations filled with food and beverage stalls that makes the purchasing of such items come at such ease. Now what will we have for ourselves if the MRT stations are barren, when we come back from a long day at work or school and we just want something to munch on, and there is no shop in sight. Complain again?

Something a friend of mine told me the other day that really made sense. Cos my dad was "complaining" about some newly paved road, that they should make it wider, if not in future when there is a jam, they might decide to reconstruct the road to make it wider thus causing more jam and wastes money. My friend told me, WHAT IF the road was made wide enough, and there is not much traffic there, then people will start complaining that government resources were wasted in constructing something that was not fully utilized. By fixing the problem when there is a complaint, it means that suggestions are taken into considerations and changes will be made to ease the problem. Wow, how true is that?

Have a think about all that i've written here. I've been thinking too much lately, May is coming and having mixed emotions about it. It's time.

Back in Singapore, and it's so damn hot today!!

Back to reality, back home where naggings are abundant.

House phone rang today, and as much as i hated to pick up the house phone, i went ahead anyways, and it was my Dad. He called to ask what time i arrived and also to tell me that CAAS published in the newspaper that they were recruiting. I got pissed and asked him if that was what he called to tell me, to check out the job postings. I mean, i barely touched down for half a day and he's calling to tell me about jobs, THAT was what i went to Brisbane for, just to get away from all these.

Cleared my wardrobe, put away stuffs that i can no longer wear, and threw away stuffs that were either off-coloured or torn.

Evening came, and the first thing my mum said to me when she saw me was that i grew fatter from my Brisbane trip. Just great, i was intending to return to my swimming routine starting tomorrow anyways, hope the weather's fine tomorrow.

Day 1 in Brisbane:

Reached Brisbane at close to 2am last night, or should i say this morning, as the flight was delayed in taking off due to bad weather conditions. Emirates is not bad, the food's pretty good but i can't say the same the service, well, it's not exceptionally bad, but still, doesn't leave much to desire, SQ's service is still the BEST!

Thanks Sharon for coming to pick me up although it was WAYY past your bedtime, as well as to the ant-bite prone Huimin, Liwen and Sarah, the whole house came to pick me up, so nice..Heehee..

Slept till 12nn today, everyone's asking me what are my plans for today, but not much plans though, cos the weather's so nice you just feel like staying in bed the whole day, but that's what i'm trying NOT to do, can't possibly fly all the way here just to laze around and do nothing the whole day, so at least i've made a mini plan, a dinner plan, at Hawken, though Sharon won't be able to join us since she ends class at 9pm.

Shall go see what i can do, maybe watch some shows?..haha..CIAO!..

行李都收拾好了，Brisbane！！！我要来了！！日本的计划已取消了，所以这将会是我正式做工的最后一个adventure！哈哈！也不算是什么 adventure啦，回去澳洲和好朋友们聚一聚，过10天逍遥自在的生活，回来新加坡就要面对现实了，大学毕业都快10个月了，我会不会不想回来啊？？我的social circle太广了，到处都有朋友，哈哈，是件好事，也不算是四海为家。。所谓的在家靠父母，除外靠朋友。。哈哈。。新加坡的朋友们，我只是去10天，不要想我哦。。哈哈！！

对很多人来说，他们所认识的秀雯，都是每天嬉皮笑脸的，没烦恼，是个开心果。对我来说，如果能够笑着面对每一天，为何要愁眉苦脸呢？可是经过了人生成长过程，世界就变得没那么简单，人与人之间的感情，也变得很复杂。人也会，经一日长一智，思想成熟了，背负的责任也重了。有些事，是很心烦的，可是没人能了解，又没那么容易找到解决地方法。

离家的那段日子，学了很多，独立，成熟，可以说是个锻炼自己的过程。之前，每个人都觉得我是乖乖女，不能离家的，可是在国外的日子，让我学到，我是可以独立生活的。但是，最近，真的是因为某些事，让我想了好多好多事，真想快离开这里，好好的为将来打算一下。

逍遥快活的日子，是时候告一段落了，我已经不想再回答“你最近在做什么”这个问题了，我有我的打算，是不是要重复我的故事100，1000扁呢？

期待星期天的到来，离开一段时间，可能脑袋会比较清醒。过了澳洲，日本应该是我真正踏入社会做工的最后一站吧。。

It was a trip to the zoo on tuesday! We had a whole lot of activities planned out for the day. It starts at 9am for breakfast at the hawker centre near my place since Huishan loves Kway Chap and there's a stall here that sells pretty good Kway Chap, but alas things were not to be, they weren't open for business that day, so we had to settle for the next best alternative instead, WANTON MEE!!

Things started looking gloomy halfway through breakfast with dark clouds filling the sky and leaves falling off trees cos of the strong wind and it started to drizzle as we make a break for the bus stop. Luckily the zoo's situated pretty far from us so the train and bus ride should b enough to ride out the storm, met Rui in the train as we headed to Choa Chu Kang MRT. The sky cleared up a bit as we reached the zoo, still with a bit of drizzle now and then, but at least it's not hot!

2 more weeks and i'm heading back to Brisbane for a 10 days break, a break from having a break. It's been more than half a year since i've graduated, what have i been doing? Am i wasting my time away? Are my decisions affecting the people around me? Why can't people accept the fact that i know what i am doing? Does being REAL friends mean that you can say what you like without considering my feelings? I have a right to live the life i want, to do what i want to do. Labelled as a slacker, is not at all fun, there are times where i just sit around at home with nothing much to do, idling around, waiting for time to pass. Maybe i really do need time away from this place to seek my thoughts, Brissy sounds perfect right about now.

Something struck me the other day when i told my colleagues i'm heading BACK to Brisbane for holidays soon. They asked why i said going BACK when Singapore is my home. It never occured to me that it was THAT big an issue. Spent 1 1/2 years in Australia, it was once my home, away from home. Do i have an identity crisis? Even Malaysia, i'd say that i go BACK a few times a year, and i'm in the midst of getting Singapore citizenship.

Sometimes i can't understand the negativity surrounding foreign sports talent. I mean yes it's true that they came to Singapore only because we give them a platform to perform and to further their careers, and that because their country has "forsaken" them. But that doesn't mean that they are any less Singaporean, they too are trying hard to "localise" themselves, wanting US to treat them like Singaporeans, where they will be labelled as traitors by some patriotic ARSES back in their home country. We live in a "free" world now, where people can move around as they like, take up whatever citizenship they deem as prospective. Now then, how will you label Singaporeans who gave up their pink IC to take up citizenship elsewhere?

People always say, the mindset's different once you've lived overseas, you start to look at things from a different perspective, think and feel differently, what might have seemed important then doesn't really seem to matter now, things that you were afraid of losing.

Life is like a book, with different chapters. Life is like a train ride, who will be there with you till your final destination? Who will hop off throughout the journey? Who will come onboard at certain stops and sit next to you? I guess we'll never know..

真要命！不见了。。写的东西不见了。。既然没save..找不回了啦。。长话短说。。

刚回到球场上练球了，烂透了！！太久没打的关系，这样的状态怎样去比赛，而且我是唯一的女生，谁叫我住的这一区很想不是很多女生打乒乓，就算有我也不认识的。。练了一个小时才开始有回一点球感。。真要多加练习。。太胖了。。跑不动了。。他们还叫我星期天去划龙舟，凑人数。。最近都想找回旧歌来听听，那些小学听的歌，郭富城，林志颖，叶良俊。。哈哈。。走怀旧路线。。

我们的秘密行动快没时间完成了。。怎么办！！朋友们！！加油哦！！一定能在指定的日期前完成！！辛苦你们了！！

Dinner was at Sushi Tei Raffles City, the restaurant was full so we had to be put on the waiting list, first on the list though. But we waited for 40 MINUTES!! When we went to ask, we found out that Karen's name had been cancelled. Which was just ridiculous as they couldn't give us a valid explanation as to why the name was cancelled, so Netta went to have a word with the lady that was in charge of the queue. As it was their fault, they let us have the private room (which usually will need a minimum spending of $250), so yeah, we had like a mini VIP room for celebrating Net's bday.

We had more food but since we were all starving..we didn't bother to take the rest of the food..hahaha

enough about Tianwei and chinese posting for a while, let's put them aside for now..haha.(she's busy training for upcoming competitions BTW)..lolz

recent updates:
1) played badminton with Huimin today, worked out our rusty bones, sweated it out, my shirt was soaked with perspiration after the 2 hr game..
2) i'm gonna be representing the eunos constituency in table tennis this year, YEAH!! finally, competitive games again!!..trainings' on every thurs 8-10pm..JIAYOU!!
3) heading back to Brisbane for a short holiday end march and will prolly be back early April
4) heading to Japan (Yokohama) in April to catch the Table Tennis World Championships (this is 80% confirmed with the remaining 20% still uncertain due to unforeseen circumstances)
5) gonna head out for a swim tmr if the weather's good, after that heading to ECP for a short filming session(heehee), then off to pre-celebrate Netta's bday at Raffles City, let's see if i can finish early and head back to the CC for some training later on..
6) 乒乓圆(table of glory) is coming up soon!!April 1st 9pm channel 8..do check it out!..although i might look like crap on tv..haha

得知了个好消息（不是找到工）。。哈哈。。

财运滚滚来。。大家都告诉我说。。不用找工作了。。每两三个月中一次。。七月要去澳洲，没问题，十二月要去哈尔滨，没问题。。

某某人说的，钱不是问题，我的下一句是，问题是可能凑不出时间来。。哈哈

七月是我好朋友的毕业典礼，答应了她会回Brisbane观礼，可是呢，如果我找到工了，可能没法拿假，但是如果我到是还没找到工的话就可以去了（不会吧，真不敢想象那么久了还是没工作）。。会不会太奢侈了呢？？没工作还到处飞。。

1. I was due on earth 21/01/1987, but something made me change my mind so i popped out by c-section 1 month earlier, who knows wad would've happened if i had been born in 1987.

2. I got so hot in school one fine day i think it was sec 1 or 2, i actually turned on the mini electric fan and started blowing on top of my head, blew it too close and it actually took a chunk of my hair off and i've always had baby hair aroung that area now.

3. I became a big fan of Feng Tianwei after the olympics, and i feel that her resilence and her mentality in competitions and in life is one we can all learn from and put to good use in all aspects of life.PS, we're like friends now..haha

4. I have 4 nephews in KL, Benjamin, Christopher, Andrew and Ryan and i love them to bits!!

5. I do not have perfect teeth, they came at a hefty price with braces during sec sch.

6. I am the youngest in the group of gers (back in mitre i was also the youngest).

7. I get sick of ice cream at times because i face them almost every other day, i have been with scoopz for 6 long years.

8. I never once thought i was high profile in sec school until someone told me so (though i forgot who was it that mentioned it), i always
thought that i've been a very low-key person throughout sec sch.

11. I have also gotten alot of weird names from people who can't pronounce my name, and there are actually peopl who put my name in their contact list as Salmon cos this helps them remember me.

12. I used to suck at chinese, can't read a single line of chinese for nuts, but since knowing Feng Tianwei, i've got no choice but to improve now that i want to communicate with people on the chinese forums.

13. I never once regretted the decision to go Australia for further studies because i've learnt alot there and met a great bunch of people there.

I have experienced quite a lot (filming, travelling, chasing FTW, haha) this entire time i've been back and thankful for the opportunity given by my parents and them not bugging me about getting a job, but that doesn't mean i am not trying to, it's just that sometimes people gotta trust that i've got plans and i know wad i am doing.

今天去了移民厅办公民手续。。应该没问题了吧。。至少他们没像我刚回来时在柜台那就拒绝了我的申请。。第一次是说我刚回来不久，在一年内有超过半年是不在新加坡，还说工作不稳定。。这一次。。事隔了四个月后。。希望。。一切。。顺利。。我姐那是申请时等了半年才拿到。。听人说，家里的第一个成员会等最久，下一个可能等三个月就拿到了。。HOPE！！。。FAITH！！

刚收到监狱那份工的电邮。。。我的申请不成功。。。很多人告诉我说，现在行情那么坏，政府工，优先权一定是给公民的。。另一份工还没消息，算是好消息吗？至少他们没立刻拒绝我的申请。。嗨。。老天保佑。。老天保佑。。现在只好在老板那赚生活费吧。。下个星期再去移民厅办申请公民的手续。。那时不成功原因是说我回国时期太短了。。所以。。再试试看吧。。

09年了，那么快就2月了，好像和时间赛跑，大学毕业了大半年，是时候开始认真找工作了。

但是，08年过得很充实：
1）大学毕业
2）家人来澳洲参加毕业典礼，旅行
3）尝试拍戏的经验
4）认识了很多新朋友
5）自己去了云顶，吉隆坡，澳门

哇，突然有感而言。。非常庆幸爸妈没唠叨我找工作，毕竟那么久都没好好休息过，16岁就开始出来打工，半工半读，不知不觉，22岁了，在老板那待了6年，在他身上学了好多好多东西，从没有任何工作经验，变成他店里的老臣子。。哈哈。。真的难以相信。。

大家都说休息是为了走更长的路，i couldn't agree more, :)

也该是时候跟我的床约会了。。明天约了我就快回澳洲的朋友聚一聚。。RELAX！！。。

Arrived in KL on sat morning..first up!!..BREAKFAST Curry Chee Cheong Fun and Yong Tau Fu..after that we went for a walk around Mid Valley Mega Mall...

Dinner was at a Korean restaurant near Shiow Mei Jie Jie's place..

Due to the pictures from the reunion dinner being incomplete, i shall have to blog about them with pictures when i get back to Singapore, cos today will be the last night i will have internet access here in KL, not gonna be staying at my cousin's place for tmr night, which is also my last night here in KL..OH MAN..i'm gonna miss my nephews soooo much!!!..hope to see them soon..

Renuion Dinner was at some oriental restaurant in Berjaya 33 or something..we had 3 tables..not sure what's the entire amount for the dinner but if it was split amongst 4 ppl and each paid about 1000RM i think..wow..that will make up RM4000 for the reunion dinner..but it was a really nice dinner..very nice food...which i took lots of pics of...

CNY DAY 1 - At Grandma's place, CNY this year was a bit quieter, seems to be getting a little boring as the years go by, but still, will wanna come back to see my dear cousins..nephews..after that me and my family drove down to Grandpa's place where i was my usual self..going there only to show face..hai..

CNY DAY 2 - 2nd Grandma's place, lunch was great..had the Capatan Curry (cooked with low-fat milk) which was prepared by Peh Nen, as usual i had 2 servings of rice with jus the curry and a few fried chicken wings...was good enough to last me throughout the day man, headed down to Bernard Gor Gor's new place..which was really nice..came back to cousin's place where we had our game of mahjong..(wad's CNY without some gambling and Mahjong rite??)..dinner again at 6.30pm at the usual restuarant in Jalan Alor, we had 2 tables today..bout RM500..never once have i been hungry since coming back..DIE!!! i look awful in pictures nowadays with my screwed up face and FAT FAT body..DISCIPLINE!!! LOSE WEIGHT!!!..but ose weight the kids are not gonna recognise me..cos to them i'm the FAT AH MAI!!..haha ah mai means auntie in hainanese..haha..cos there's too many ah mai-s so they differentiate me with the rest by my size....haha

shall blog first and edit again with pictures when i get back to sg..cos my sis took back the camera to grandma's place..yeap..she doesn't stay with me..haha..she stays with my parents at my grandma's and i stay over at my cousin's place together with another 2 of my cousins from sg cos there is internet access here!!..and TV of cos..lolz...

tmr 3rd day!!..gonna do a little bit of shopping before we start heading back to sg and back to reality...gonna GET A JOB!! and GET MY CAR!!!..

Met up with Sharon and June on monday night, and they made me wait for ONE WHOLE HR!!!! it was Juney's 2nd day back in Sg and i had to get used to her excitement when we were walking around NTUC..haha..set a date to meet up with Possum and Sharon on Feb 2nd before Sharon flies back to Brisbane on the 3rd..then Huimin's turn to be BACK!!!yeah!! can't wait..JULY JULY!! hopefully i can go back for Huimin's grad..

Feb 15th, marked down on calendar for steamboat dinner at Netta's place, hopefully with an additional guest, but if not, we'll still go on with the dinner just in the name of good fun..

SO MUCH TO BLOG ABOUT!!! but i have no idea how to go about talking about my activities this past week.

Just a quick summary, life at Scoopz has been boring all of a sudden cos school's started and all. We were complaining of how busy and tired we were due to the holidays and the combined festive holidays that left our fridges bare most of the time. And now, we are bored to death cos there's not much to do in the shop other than the usual making ice cream and serving customers, and not much customers too. Everyone's prolly gone to Chinatown to get their new year goodies.

But also thanks to my flexible schedule and my not too restrained finances i am able to slack abit and go off from work since they don't need that many people during the shift, i am able to go down to NYP to give my junior moral support during IVP, as usual the group stages draw didn't favour us, but we made do with what had. Most of them have been busy with filming and thus, not much training done to prepare for IVP, but it's alright, we'll all just work hard for POL-ITE this year yea!! Time flies, i'm year 7 in TP already. I said 22 is already..TW completed my sentence for me..已经老了。。。。haha

This week i crossed out Monday - Wednesday, ppl at scoopz asked what i had on, i told them, nth, i just wanted to take a break and not work so hard. HAHA!!..in the end, wad did i do this 3 days??..slacked most of monday playing my DS, but i think i'm too used to a busy/hectic day, i got bored with slacking around, headed to TP for training in the evening, worked up a sweat. tues headed down to Raffles City to fix my dad's Tag Hueur and spotted Wang Yuegu alighting from a cab when i was queueing for 1, we were quite far apart so i didn't say hi. After that headed to TP to go down with the team to NYP for their last game against NP which we won for both the girls and guys' team. Wed is a busy busy day, BBQ with the group, OVERALL, WED WAS A GREAT DAY/NIGHT OUT!! thanks Netta for letting me drive, and i regained confidence in my driving (not parking), since i haven't really been driving much if not at all ever since i had my license, I WANNA GET A CAR TOO!!! *after wed, status upgraded!!* haha..

Heading back to KL next friday for CNY..

ok, i did say i'd blog about filming so here goes..

today's the final day of the shoot..for me at least, not sure if my character's still needed towards the end. so Cass reminded me to bring camera to take pictures with the Mediacorp artistes that were on set location with us, so lucky to have most of them today, we only didn't managed to take picture with Dai Yang Tian and Joshua Ang.

for most of you who still dunno wad's going on in my busy busy life ever since Macau, i'm involved in a new Channel 8 drama called 乒乓圆。i can't even remember when was the last time i actually had a day of not doing anything, busy with work 5 days straight before Macau, came back from Macau and busy with work again. the day i came back from Macau i got a call from Mediacorp so again i had to put my looking for a job on hold. i think after CNY i will go take another swipe for citizenship again.

in the show, my character's name is 姚恩慧, a table tennis player, a previous yr champ, and i think i won't be appearing for only a second, or just in the background so blur that you have to pause the show and circle me out to know that it's me. hhaha, wad's fun was most of juniors were there with me so it didn't get too boring, and plus we got to mingle around with the stars and other crew members. first time having makeup on was during the imaging for the show, not too bad, very first makeup done was by the makeup artists in mediacorp and they did my hair too. not shiok though when we are needed to be at mediacorp at 6am in the morning just for makeup and our hair done, i could still remember the 2nd day i was the first in mediacorp wardrobe area and the 1st one i saw was Kym Ng, and at 6am Cass and Liu Ying were still AT HOME!!.. subsequent trips i didn't go to mediacorp, too lazy, so i headed down to NYJC (where we have our filming done for the competition scene) straight from home.

WOAH!!..

You know what i just realised!! I didn't carry out my Christmas routine this year of sending out cards, as i've always though snail mail's a whole lot better than email/sms/msn. I've been so caught up with stuffs lately, been busy with work work work before Macau, and off to Macau and back from Macau is work work work work again.

Crazy Xmas work day for me and the peeps at Scoopz yesterday, I wonder why some customers are EXTREMELY friendly and courteous only on Xmas day, does it make sense that you be uber friendly, smile, say thank you and mean it and saying MERRY XMAS to someone in the service line just on this day and the rest of the yea just pretend we are some low life working our arse off??..Really weird at times when i think of it, being nice doesn't have to happen only on Xmas day, just like giving presents or flowers to a loved one on Valentine's Day, when you are in love, everyday should be like Valentine's Day..rite??

So for all those that i used to send cards but didn't send it this year..my sincerest apologies, been so caught up with everything else that i simply can't find the energy and time to write them to post them out. And for those that wished my Merry Xmas and Belated Bday altogether on MSN/SMS/FB..THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! my sincerest heartfelt thanks though this year is really kept to the lowest of lowest profile, i actually had to decline a few bday celebrations for me..

Boxing day for me today was a really memorable/happy day..ALL SMILES!!..makes me feel that all the effort and time spent on you was worth it. YOU'RE DA BOMB!! I LOVE FENG TIANWEI!!!!

I'm so gonna be busy next week i hope i have time to AT LEAST send out a new year greeting to Mdm Pang, i'm beginning to idolise Tianwei so much that i'm starting to neglect my teacher dearest Mdm Pang, i still can't believe that i couldn't take out the time to send her a Xmas card or send her xmas sms!!...ARGH!!!

Birthday lunch with the family & Pre-Xmas lunch with the good ol' people from Scoopz

Just decided that this year i will have a really toned-down/private/quiet day on my own for my birthday after a very hyped up rah-rah 21st bday last year. Since Huimin says that all my blog posts has been about Feng Tianwei, this blog will have NOTHING on her..other than this mini-mention..haha

Was still thinking where to go for a meal on Sunday as i was supposed to work from 10-4..but since Ah Gui has recovered from chickenpox, we all decided i shouldn't be that hard on myself and work on my birthday. Initially when there was really no choice but to have me cover half a day, it was nice to hear boss telling Shiau Yun that my birthday is bigger than her, so she has to work..haha, but i guess it all worked out in the end.

Thought of either Dim Sum buffet at Marina Mandarin, Jack's Place..and Sis suggested Tony Roma's @ Suntec City since they serve really good ribs, since it was my birthday it was her treat..although it came with unwilling mumbles that me and my dad won money at 4D..haha

Afterwhich we went shopping for a bit at OG, my dad finally bought himself some new shirts he can wear for CNY haha, sounds pathetic right, but it's only cos he dun wanna spend money on stuff like that..but he is willing to spend on 4D on TOTO..lolz, went for dessert at Liang Seah Street, some place called Ji De Chi (Remember to Eat), the desserts ain't fantastic, service not worth mentioning, they told us that it'll take about a 20 minutes wait for the durian pastry thing but in the end it took more than half an hr which i had to push back my meeting with Sharon after that, and when the dumb pastry finally came, it tasted kinda yucky!!..ARGH!!.no more patronage from me to this place man..NO MORE NO MORE!!!!!

Reached home at bout 6.50pm, had a quick shower and off to meet Sharon @ Tampines Mall, was still a bit full from the heavy lunch so we settled for something less fanciful at Pastamania which was dear Sharon's treat..hee, and then she bought me a nalgene bottle since i lost mine back in Brisbane, yesh..the green bottle that mysteriously disappeared when i brought it down from the house to the car to leave on our roadtrip..after that we went shopping around the atrium area as they had lots of stuff that were pretty cheap, so thought i'd get a little something for the folks back in Brisbane, wad was supposed to be a little something turned out to be quite alot, THAT'S IT!! i can't go shopping with Sharon..lolz

Went down to Parkway on Monday to send the package over to Australia, turned out the package became a PARCEL..haha, sent it on express too..hopefully it'll reach them in time for Xmas. Headed down to TP in the evening for training, they had alot of people there so i could only sit at the sides to wait for someone to be free to have a hit with me, thankfully i had with my my phone..MY ENTERTAINMENT!!..lolz..shall not mention wad i watched..although i think most of u will know..HAHA!!

Met Gui, Rui Caiwen & Leng Sie @ Raffles City for lunch, had Shokudo, really funny cos Sharon was just telling me about this place on Sunday and there i was today, really fun experience dining there since i've not been to Marche. But this dining experience is costly, my card swiped 30 over bucks!!!..Was supposed to bring my dad's Tag Huer to Raffles City office tower to fix the chain but i forgot the bring it out with me, so yea, he was pretty pissed with me for that. I need more exercise, gotta get my lazy butt to go swim!!! Rui said i put on weight today..AH!!!!..CNY's coming!! And the bet thingy that i have going on with Steven Gor Gor..ARGH!!!

Macau oh Macau, what a wonderful time i've had there. I'm pretty sure after this Tianwei's gonna remember me!!! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! I'm gonna make it a point to watch Tianwei in action at least once a year, hopefully the pro tour stops next year are ideal, or if i have a surprise windfall then anywhere is fine!!!

I could go to Changsha, Hunan next Jan for the Tournament of the Champions where Tianwei will be participating in again, but then again, China's kinda intimidating for me, haha, i'm afraid i'll get too much of a culture shock there to even enjoy my time. And besides, there might be something going on for me that will keep me busy till February..

Day 2 was a long day for us, as well as the team today, LJW/SBB played in the doubles which they won. LJW seems to be in a good mood today, smiled and acknowledged our support together with SBB. Stayed throughout the evening to support the singles matches starting with WYG's. Before that we had dinner at a diner and met Jing Junhong & her husband there and took a pic with her (SUPER DUPER FRIENDLY).It was a fruitful day, WYG waved back to us when after her win. Shouted JIAWEI, TIANWEI & BEIBEI JIAYOU before they started their individual matches. JW gave an embarassed smile when we shouted and so did BB. Tianwei was her usual serious self but she did acknowledged us after her win against LJ. SBB was the nicest as her game was the tightest and we shouted jiayou TWICE!! so after her win, 1st she smiled to us, then she waved the bat at us (very cute gesture) after which we met them outside the stadium and took a grp pic with them, they left for supper then..

Day 3 for us and we finally had a small chat with Tianwei!!! She was visibly tired today after her game against Liu Jia, although she won, we could see that she was kinda disappointed in her game. Today we got dao-ed by all our players after their games regardless of whether they won or lost.I told her that it took us 3 long days to finally have a little chat with her and she nodded in agreement..which was really nice..

But the main point was that we went out to the entrance to wait for Tianwei to come out after her game, she was mobbed by a group of ppl wanting to take pictures but she turned and noticed me and the rest at the side and gave us a nod signalling that she will come to us after she's done with the photo taking. She approached us after she was done and extended her hand for a handshake with all of us and thanked us for the support!!!

Chatted with her for a bit and asked if she was tired, her face was flushed and she looked really nice and cute. We had stuffs for her to sign as well as some stuffs to give her and mini requests, but we could seethat she wanted to go back to the hotel to rest.But she suggested that she will come look for us tomorrow after the competition is over so we said that we will give her the stuffs tomorrow instead. So we told her to have a good night's rest and we'll see her tomorrow. And BTW, she was using an iPhone..HAHA..We forgot to pass her the TIANWEI JIAYOU card made by Netta, so we passed it to Beibei after her game ended, she too was mobbed by ppl wanting to take pictures, and we wanted her autograph on the picture we took last night, we gave her 1 of the photos as well and she said thanks.

Asked her when she's heading back to Singapore and we will be on the same FLIGHT!! She said to us that the other pictures she will sign for us again cos too many ppl are mobbing her. We understood and said bye to her. No wonder she kept asking us to pass her Tianwei's stuff first cos she's trying to make an escape!! Not from us of cos, cos she said to us, “其它的我回去再跟你们签吧”

OMG!!! my DREAM is coming true!! i think Tianwei will be coming to our room tomorrow night!!!!! so EGG-CITED!!!..

So much happening lately, Dad's having the same pain symptoms as Mum once had before doing physio. Just got back his X-Ray films today, diagnosed as having the same whatever my Mum's having, Osteoarthritis, something like a piece of your bone out of place and pressing onto the nerves thus causing pain, because of the precarious position it's in (spinal/neck area) surgery might be required for it to heal fully BUT not recommended at all as it's a very dangerous position. Anything goes wrong and we'll have a Christoper Reeve situation on our hands. For those of you who don't know who Christopher Reeve is, he was the Superman that was paralysed neck down from a horse-riding accident.

Doctor says to get Dad to take 2 more rounds of medication, still no progress and he will be recommended to the hospital for physio treatment. Mum's physio is by a private doc, more expensive but easier to book. Dad's prolly going to take the hospital route so that it will be covered by Medisave. I so want to give my parents a better life. So when a certain someone/some people asked me if had given my parents a thought when deciding on what to do with my life after graduation, i just felt that it shouldn't even have been asked because it is very obvious. Doubting me shows that you don't understand me at all.

Well, i'm just gonna take this entire period of time as a break. Gonna enjoy my time in Macau next week, parents told me to have a good time, really glad that they understand and give me the freedom/trust/support to do what i want to do. I guess after spending time alone overseas they have seen that i've grown and matured a lot.

After Macau, i'm really gonna set my heart to get a job, and in these times, i can be glad that at least i'm not shaking legs at home doing nothing, at least i still have a part time job. November was a busy month, income's not too bad, considering that it's just a part time, i've calculated my pay to be more than 1K this month!!! but i'll prolly be getting half cos of some stuffs boss is doing for me.

TIANWEI IS BACK IN SINGAPORE!!!! but only for the span of 1 miserable day, to receive the Meritorious Award given by the president for their achievements during the olympics. Had news that Tianwei was gonna be back in Singapore in the afternoon but we didn't have much concrete details, Joan msged us informing us that Tianwei is indeed back in Singapore, and will be leaving for Germany at night. So we decided to go send her off, hoping that she's not too tired out from all the flying about.I went to tp to train with the team, trained with Carmen till 8.30pm and headed for a shower, surely i wasn't about to head off for the airport a stinko. HAHA!! cabbed down and reached terminal at 9+ to meet up with Netta, Jasmine and Karen. Went to watsons to see what kinda vitamins to get for Tianwei, in the end we settled for Blacksmore.We were hanging around belt 2 as that's where Tianwei's gonna check in the Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt. Spotted Eddy and was wondering what he was doing there since he was supposedly on holiday in Japan. We waved to him and walked towards him for a chat, he too just came back from Japan the day before and will be heading to Germany with the team, he looked tired as well. He's a really friendly guy too, giving us information when we asked for them, but of cos there will be stuffs that he can't disclose. He asked why we didn't go to suntec for the press conference and we told him that it's invited only ma, then he replied saying we can just drag them out for a picture, since they were all dressed up for a formal event, didn't think that he would say that. HAHAHAHA!! He told us that Tianwei and gang's on the way to the airport and described to us Tianwei's look for the day, haha, never knew that we could chat so freely with the team manager. And he also asked if we were heading to Macau, and we told him that information's rather limited as of right now, and he said he'll help us check with the ITTF organisers when he gets to Germany. THANKS EDDY!!Then came the exciting moment!! Karen spotted Tianwei walking towards us, my back was towards that direction so i didn't notice them at all, moreover she was in formal wear so i guess you'll need a 2nd glance to know that it's her..haha..she waved and walked towards us. What happened next was a usual sight, when she was near us, Eddy approached her and talked to her, before that we were spreaded out, when she came we all scampered to a corner stonning away..hahahha..we took up 20 minutes of her time in her formal wear (i say that because she left to change to casual wear after that), taking videos, pictures, signing autographs (we seem to have endless stuffs for her to sign) and giving her stuffs..esp the FTW wristband which she ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!! We really need to practice not being so nervous and stunned in front of her that we always neglect her at the side not knowing what to do..but it's a really funny sight captured on video. Thankfully we have Ailing and Michelle in our midst who are not afraid to go up to Tianwei and talk to her.But having met her quite a few times, i would say that she is slowly warming up to us, speaking/chatting more with us, and definately forever obliging with requests..weird ones that is..haha!! I think she must be really puzzled and amused at our reactions too..ALL CAPTURED ON VIDEO!! PRICELESS VIDEOS!!!captions on the pictures with kinda tell about my entire airport trip..

we passed the phone for Tianwei to talk to Joan, who was stuck at home cos she had a paper this morning at 8am. We were making comments like faint liao faint liao..and fly to the moon, so much that Tianwei was smiling at our comments made. After the call ended, Jasmine was on the phone with Joan, i made another comment saying that Joan owes us a meal for doing that, Tianwei overheard and was laughing at what we said..hahahaha!!!

OMG..it's been a crazy few weeks..busy with work and everything beyond that, swimming on off days, running around doing errands..citizenship..huishan's stuffs for school..been really TIRED OUT!! i finally get to rest this week after havin' only worked for half a day on monday, went down to mediacorp on tues, swam on wed came back home and got a bit drenched in the rain, left the house for training in TP, was down with something on wed night, couldn't sleep with my nose playing tricks on me deciding to be a running tap with the nozzle loose at one time..and decided to be a stuffed sewage pipe and blocked my breathing the next, i wonder who was missing/scolding me that much cos i was sneezing non stop in the middle of the night..

woke up on thursday morning feelin' like shit, smsed Jean and Boss telling them that i wasn't feeling well and i couldn't work..didn't leave the house the entire day..nearly coughed my lungs out, but it wasn't tt serious to go visit the docs yet, visiting docs' only when u need an mc, no point wasting money like tt..

ain't liking the weather at all these few days, today's hot and stuffy like mad, was perspiring like nobody's business at home, tot if i felt better i could go to Shunli's bday dinner gathering at PS but the heat made my head swell and i was having a terrible headache when my parents came back..popped a pill and definately feeling much better..

gonna go take a shower to douse the heat..and gonna hit the sack soon..need my rest for a tough weekend ahead!!..working on both sat and sun!!..GAMBETTE!!

My mood's been pretty down for a couple of days now, i flare up at the slightest thing and can't seem to get my thoughts straight. Had dinner with Raymond and Gabriel just now, we are all on the same boat, our thoughts are similar too, having been back from Brisbane for only a few months, before graduation we have been advised of reverse culture shock and adapting back to life back home, initially i never thought much about it. Well, it's home, how will you need to adapt to home. But i was wrong, having been away for a period of time, things change, people change, oh heck, I changed. Things are different now, so much different to how i left them.

In light of the recent hoo-hah over Coach Liu Guodong's decline to renew the contract with STTA, we at the FTW FC were all pretty worried for Tianwei, not sure how the news will affect her. Before the news came out we saw her lose to Liu Shiwen, losing is not a big thing, but losing the 3rd set in a disheartened/below par performance 11-2, somehow it came across to us that something was bothering Tianwei, she didn't look her normal self, seemed to have given up, lost her fighting spirit. Couple days later, news broke about LGD's future. All the puzzle pieces fitted together, that must have dealt a huge blow to Tianwei, LGD was like a father figure to her, picking her up from obscurity and polishing her to be the world class player she is now at world ranking No. 7. We at the FC were all flustered, not sure what to do and how to react. Joan and i came up with things to say to her and Joan sent Tianwei an email, of encouragement from us and well wishes from her supporters back in Sg, really hoping that she doesn't get too affected or worse leave Singapore to follow LGD. Joan sent her a few other emails as well with other people's well wishes. Just when we thought that she might not have read it or maybe her place in China doesn't have internet (HAHA), TIANWEI REPLIED!!!!! *plugged from facebook page*

well, in case some of you are wondering where i've disappeared to (again), was away for a few nights watching my juniors play in the POL-ITE games..in which they played really well and fought really hard!!..end results..GIRLS CHAMPION!!! and GUYS BRONZE!!! not a bad result at all..the girls really earned their GOLD..all thanks to good luck, team spirit, strong mentality and suprising results from other matches..SO PROUD OF THEM!!! i dun wanna sound old, but this actually marks my 6 yrs in TP..haha..i would be yr 6 if i'm still in TP now..how time flies man..haha..i feel so old around them man..and i'm only 21..hai..sadz..haha

really hope the team works hard at getting some good results and the coming IVP early next yr..really gotta train hard..it's hard to get the same level of committment all around the team but i feel that they have got what it takes to create a stunner at the coming IVP..this time round they have really good support from the school and the respective advisors that go down to the venue to support the team as well as having encouraging team talks..which we never had..we only had people interested in results and at one point even threatened to disband table tennis if we dun achieve any results in competitions..talk about demoralising the team man..

up next, busy work week ahead..working from thurs to sun of which i'm working full days both weekends..finally i get more time to work, i foresee myself aching all over again..and yes, swimming actively again..will try and swim more than once a week...i remembered when i was in Brisbane i swam as much as 4 times a week..shall see if i can achieve tt..gonna have a meeting with boss this week and talk to him about expanding Scoopz with Jean, Leng Sie and Huishan, hai..will see how it goes..this kinda marks the direction of my future too..in sight of recent "crisis" i really needa get a proper job soon, my documents for citizenship are almost intact now, so prolly gonna go down for the proper application sometime next week..

OK!!!.i'm back from all the travelling..KL and Genting..people say i've got a good life..i say it's tiring..travelling's not that all goody enjoyable when ya broke!!..haha

so now it's back to WORKING HARD!! i wanna work hard oso cannot, Boss is trying his best to squeeze me into the work schedule liao..i can't rest on my laurels anymore!!!! i'm gonna start applying for my citizenship now that i'm almost done with getting the documents ready..and after tt, i'm gonna start applying for the gov jobs..i wanna fulfill my dream of getting a car within 2 years!!

my dear housemates in Aussieland have finally gotten a home of their own, after such a long wait i'm sure it's a pretty nice place..so happy for them!!!i hope that means good news' gonna come soon for me too!!...i so wanna go Macau in Dec to watch Feng Tianwei play in the Pro Tour Grand Finals..

the wristbands i've ordered are finally here!!..gonna meet u with the crazy ppl on sat and camp out at the city area so that the rest of the fanclub ppl can come and meet us to collect their ordered bands...

another thing, i'm gonna be giving the Lee Hom concert on Nov 1st a miss..the tickets have been bought, but somehow i dun really have the mood to be going for concerts..i really did wanna go..but i guess i'll just have to settle for the concert DVD instead..and save the money...so i sold the tickets to my colleagues who wanted to go but weren't in time to get good seats..

BLARDY HELL!!! a flying cockroach landed right next to my latop like 15 minutes ago..i HATE THEM!!! or rather..i'm TERRIFIED OF THEM!! so i jumped up in an instant and ran out calling for my mummy to catch it if not i will never be able to step into my room again tonight..when i was showing my mum where it is it flew out and i jumped again!!..i can't believe myself..21 yrs of age and i can't stand straight when i see a damn cockroach, then it flew back into my room and hid behind my cupboard..dumb thing!! so my mum tried to spray insecticide into the gap hoping to flush it out but to no avail and my mum left me for dead!! as i was shining my torchlight into the gap i noticed a black thing crawl out the other end so i shouted for my mum again..ha!ha! this time it is DEAD!! my mum caught it!!! yeah!! i can finish blogging in peace..and my sis made a nasty joke..she said that there are cockroaches mating in my room!! sucks!! YUCK!!..

i think i seriously have a problem, an addiction rather, to what?? to our darling Feng Tianwei that is. oh no..the fanclub has been so caught up with her these few weeks now that she's no longer in Sg (taking a break in Harbin & going on to play competition everywhere else), everyone's having withdrawal symptons now, HOW!!?? those that have exams no mood to study, those that are working has no mood to work, as for me, i'm a slacker but i still need MONEY to go to macau end of the yr to watch her play!!!

had news of Tianwei coming back to Sg on the 15th, so a group of us went down to the airport to welcome her home. but to our dismay she wasn't on the flight, but we met a very friendly Sun Bei Bei telling us that she will only be back on the 17th but dunno wad time.

so on the 17th, a wed, a small bunch of us acted on a hunch that she will be at the airport in the afternoon rather than the wee morning flight and begun on our journey to the airport..without any confirmation of flight details. Joan and I first went down to STTA to check with the receptionist who said that tianwei's not back yet, so our deduction is RIGHT!! she will land in the noon, so met up with Sukai and cabbed down to the airport straightaway, went to terminal 2 to wait for the Shanghai flight and slowly more ppl came, Karen, Jasmine, PS, Cedar girls, Deina, Michelle, Huijie...but nope..she wasn't on the flight..so we checked out the infor counter and found out that there's a flight from beijing coming in NOW!!! so we double timed our steps and moved on to terminal 3..we were dashed for a bit, not much hope left, we were jus banking on a bit of luck, jus when we tot it's another wasted trip..Joan get a msg from Eddy saying that Tianwei jus landed!!!! and asked if we saw her...then we were like all excited and keeping our eyes peeled for her...then Eddy sent another msg, saying that Tianwei's on her way back to STTA, then we were like WAD!!??? how could we have missed her..with so many pairs of eyes!!

then we did something, Joan asked Eddy to ask Tianwei for permission for us to go down to see her for a while as many of us have stuff to pass to her..so we waited and waited for Eddy's reply, after a while, Joan's phone rang, Tianwei said OK!!! OMG!! we all jumped up and went to queue for cab THAT INSTANT!! we took 2 cabs and since Michelle drove, some went into her car. and they were the latest cos they were buying cakes and stuff for Eddy and Tianwei.

so 2 cabs reached first..and we were waiting and waiting in such a hot weather and guess who i saw!!! i saw Coach Liu in Anthony Lee's car and in the passenger seat was TIANWEI!!! OMG!! i was like..did u guys see that!!! the car stopped and Tianwei went up the backdoor..then we began analysing how come she arrived later than us...but nvm..that's not the point, point is, Michelle's car arrived and we phoned Eddy to tell him we are ready and Tianwei can come down le..hah!!! so funny when she came down, cos she poked her head throught the frosted glass door first then we were like..OMG!! TIANWEI!!! HELLO!!! then awkward silence cos everyone stunned!!..lolz..after about a gd 10 seconds of silence then the chatter began..haha..asked her some qns..gave her stuffs..took LOTS of nice pictures!!..first time i saw Tianwei in casual wear..she was in white Havainas Brazil slippers...i was wearing black havainas aussie slipper..hee..and Joan asked Tianwei is she recognised me from the KL competition, then she replied: "认得，大家都认得". so happy!!!hee..

after she left we asked Eddy if he could get Jiawei and Yuegu down as well, but Jiawei was out so didn't managed to catch her, but Yuegu came down!! super FRIENDLY!! we took lots of pictures with her, and even asked her if she recognised some of us..then she was like..ya!! you guys went to malaysia rite!! she said that in chinese of cos...haha...so funny..then after tt dunno is she siad if we go germany or macau can't recall clearly..she will treat us to PIZZA..lolz..

okie..so that basically sums up my wednesday..busy busy wednesday..was dead tired when i reached home that day so i didn't head down to TP for training with the juniors..hope that tonight can go down..i needa exercise.!!

wa..gotta clear the dust and cobwebs here man, it's making my nose itch, haven't been updating for close to 3 weeks now.

promised ppl back in aussieland that i'll blog about my fruitful KL trip so i better do it NOW!!! haha..if not they'll kill me..hee

OK!!i'm sure most of you would know by now that i made a hasty decision to go back to KL within a week to watch the Volkswagen Table Tennis Women's World Cup to watch my idol Feng Tianwei play as well as support Team Singapore.

managed to talk to her only after 2 days cos i couldn't muster up enough courage, each time only able to get her autograph after much shoving from my cousins..lolz...but don't know wad went into me on the last day, after her win against Wang Yuegu, i summoned up my courage and went up to the manager and asked if i could speak to her..and he said YES!!!he nodded to me after Tianwei finished her interview with the media ppl and signalled for me to head outside. went outside, had a nicely taken picture with her, asked her if she read the encouragement letter from her fans back in singapore, and she said yes, and asked her if she could say a few words for her supporters back home and she did one tt lasted 27seconds!!i had no idea she was gonna say sooo much..lolz!! and my name was in The Straits Times last tuesday, labelled as a "die-hard fan" by reporter lin xinyi, whom i found familiar, turned out she played table tennis during her uni days too, met her before in the IVP games, can't remember which uni she's from already, haha..

i went for Tianwei's 2nd game on the first day, i missed her game with Miao Miao, and saw her losing to Li Xiaoxia, realised that she was really down and disappointed and decided to do something for her. went home after that and sent an sms to Joan and asked her to gather all the fans in Sg to compile a list of encouragement stuff that they wanna say to Tianwei, maximum efficiency man!!Li Na got it down the next morning, so the next day, i gave the envelope to Tianwei before her match with Li Jiao from Netherlands.

i was like the KL correspondent for the Tianwei Fanclub back in Sg, uploading videos each night onto the facebook page, haha, glad i could do something for the club, and for all the fans who can't be there due to the exam period. Tianwei is a really nice person (but quite shy), i think she might have recognised me since i was like the only 1 with a Sg flag (or any flag at all) stuck onto the tripod stand all the time..lolz, cos she waved to me after her Yuegu game..damn happy la!!!

i wanna say a very BIG THANK YOU to my dear cousins!!!! welcoming me into their home on such short notice, gave me a nice big room to sleep in, gave me good food to eat everyday, but small appetite though the 4 days i was there cos my mind was all on the competition and wanting to hurry to the venue to watch Tianwei play, i actually lost 1KG coming back from KL, lolz

that basically sums up my 4 days KL trip, heading to Genting on the 25th of September with Leng Sie and Huishan. i didn't use much money this KL trip cos almost (if not everything) was paid for by my cousins and my uncle/auntie, so yea, the money will be left for the genting trip, hehe, and just got word that my HK cousin is getting married and will be holding their wedding dinner in KL instead of HK so that we dun have to ALL fly to HK like the other time for his brother's wedding..so yes, will be heading to KL again come 3rd October..

Went to Raffles City today to welcome Team Singapore home and to see the accomplished paddlers first hand. Other treats included Chen Diya, Carrie Yeo and JJ LIN!!!! OMG the crowd went wild when JJ came out!!..

and my oh my were the loudest screams reserved for FENG TIANWEI!!..when Daniel Ong prompted for Tianwei to say a few words to the people that were there, the crowd erupted into a roar with a couple of people shouting "FENG TIANWEI WO AI NI!!" haha..but i dun think she heard them cos the atmosphere was pretty loud and i had to listen carefully to hear what each of them said. Luckily i took a few videos, hee, i thought that there was gonna be an autograph session since they were giving out free posters and i even brought my red bat case along with 3 TT balls for them to sign, but too bad, there wasn't any, sigh, i hope they have another event like that again.

initially wanted to go to the airport to welcome them as well, but dad said might as well head to Raffles City instead, saw on the news that there were lots of people at the airport as well, wa, nowadays Singaporeans all no need to work or stay after school wan ah?..all so free like me, an unemployed uni grad..lolz..they went round Sg heartlands like Chai Chee, Geylang Serai and Orchard Road on the deck of the Hippo bus where the news captured alot of Singaporeans along the streets and on bridges waving the mini sg flag and long balloon thingy..

overall, am really glad that i went there to show my support for them, they truly made each and everyone of us proud, amidst all the flak about foreign "bought" talent and what not, they flew the Sg flag no matter what people say..and I AM SO PROUD OF THEM!!!..YEAH!!

just when the going gets tough..it seems hard to get a job..

I still can recall when I was still back in Brissy saying that i cóuldn't understand why people can say that jobs are hard to find when i managed to get a call for interview so soon after i applied for a job. Alas, it was not meant to be, as i dun think the job is suitable for me, and all was gone, that was the one and only job interview i had and i had squandered it.

Taking things slow, steadily applying for jobs and patiently waiting for the phone to finally ring and ask me in for an interview. Since i'm not hte sole breadwinner of the family, i am having the luxury to take my time in looking for a job and working part time back in Scoopz earning my own pocket money. Will be waiting till the end of the month for any calls, if not, i will head back to KL for a short break as well as a couple of days up in Genting Highlands, afterwhich i shall come back to Sg and start applying for Gov jobs in Home Affairs, then again, i don't know if i will be able to get it or be discriminated against since i'm technically not a Singapore citizen.

Reality kicks in and thoughts run amok in my mind, should i have gone to Brisbane to further my studies?? Where would i be if i hadn't taken that step? Money does make the world go round, $$ is needed if i want to go back to Aussie land for my dear friends' graduation in Dec, $$ is needed to buy me a guitar, $$ is needed to get myself a new phone, $$ is needed to go back to Malaysia for a holiday.

Life as a graduate is not all that nice and enjoyable, at least it's not when you are an unemployed graduate. I miss the carefree life i had with so many wonderful people back in Brisbane. I've been having sleepless nights the few weeks i'm back, i will toss and turn in bed for at least an hour before i can fall asleep, the worst was when i only went to bed at 5am on a supposed tiring day for me after work. Lots of stuffs running through my mind, the life i led in Brisbane, the room's big but empty with just me in it, somehow something is missing, and i realised that i missed the company i had in Mitre Street and HQ in Durham. I miss the tuesdays, fridays and sundays where i wait at home doing my things on the laptop and welcome my housemates home after a long day of church activity just to say HI! and pop into bed to sleep. I miss the mondays, wednesdays, thursdays where we have dinner together and the occasional free saturdays when we can do anything. In short, i miss my FAMILY in BRISBANE!!

Family's good at home, but the constant nagging and control over almost everything i do except getting a job, sometimes get on my nerves. Back in Brisbane, i can just not get on MSN if i don't want to be bothered by home. Like how Sharon put it when family was in Brissy for graduation, my "non-government" days are over, and man is it O-V-E-R.

GOTTA SLEEP SOON!! 10am semi-final clash between Li Jiawei VS Zhang Yining. So sad for Feng Tianwei, she lost to Zhang Yining 4-1 in close/hard fought games all deuces, she really gave ZYN a run for her money, FTW's definately the one to watch out for in years to come, can't wait to see her progress and improve for London 2012. Praying hard that LJW wins tomorrow, it's not easy, but we must have faith and belief in our sportsman, so much flak recently on foreign talent but i don't really care. COMPLAINS & COMPLAINS!!..win also complain, don't win also complain, can't stand it sometimes, and you know what i can't stand even more, China sweeping all the table tennis medals, sick of seeing them sweeping the golds, not that i don't give them props for being good, i'm just bored of seeing them. Shawn Johnson finally got gold for the Beam Apparatus Final for USA, Nastia Liukin got Gold for All around , SJ is just adorable at 16, can't wait to see her at London 2012 too!!

OH MAN!!!..i need to sleep early!!!..working tmr..10-10..BUT!!..it's the finals of the Table Tennis matchup between China & Singapore..WAD TO DO!!??.. i intend to bring my trusty laptop to work tmr and hope the wireless streaming will work fine..

we can watch it from afar cos the nice people at the singtel shop switched the olympics on for us on the left tv so that we can watch standing from our shopfront..but we can't hear...sadz..but it was an exciting match the semi-final..lots of ppl standing aroudn the singtel shop and watching team sg in a nail biting competition...kudos to Feng Tianwei!!..everyone was gasping at the misses and clapping at the wonderful topspin loops and smashes she produced against the "choppers" from South Korea...can't wait for tmr's match..

the little island that's a red dot on the map of Earth, where it's a place of:

1) endless queues for food, lottery & freebies
2) inconsiderate people talking like they are the only ones in the bus (esp in another language that gives ppl headaches)
3) uncle aunties and wannabe ah bengs and ah lians spewing of Hokkien and other dialects that sounds albeit vulgar at times
4) squeezing till there's a face print on the door of the MRT
5) brainless people trying to get onto the MRT where there are people desperately trying to get down
6) people so afraid that the doors are gonna close on them they knock into alomost everyone in their way of getting out the door of the bus/MRT
7) endless complains of raising food prices, oil prices, public transport prices
8) where i'm sure almost everyone wants to get their hands on the iPhone when it's finally released in Singapore end of the month

well, wad can i say, it's a place i call home, been perspiring like mad ever since i'm back..HOT HOT HOT!!! the only thing i'm glad to say is that i've brought home with me refined culture, i stand aside to let ppl get down, wished i was in another planet when ppl start talking loudly on their phones..

time to clear up some of the dust and webs that's lingering around my blog now..

been a hectic week or so, packing some stuffs, preparing for graduation, picking my family up from the airport and bringing them around Queensland, packing to go to Melbourne and travelling around Melbourne.

I must say that travelling is really tiring, fun and nice but tiring, didn't have much energy and excitement to look at the scenery and stuffs cos i was mentally fatigued and it was freezing in Melbourne (didn't snow of cos) but the wind was blowing so hard that i really wished i was back in the sunshine state of Australia.

really have to thank Huimin and Sharon for packing up the rest of the house and moving the stuffs to Durham as i was away in Melbourne when it was time to move. didn't help in cleaning the house, or the move..thousands of apologies for that.to make up for that i shall cook nice meals for everyone the remaining time that i'm here!!..

and wanna say thanks to the Durham hq for housing the 3 of us, it's Mitre street no more..quite sad actually, spent my happiest and most frustrated times in the Mitre house, 1 and a half yrs, not very long, but long enough for me to cherish the wonderful memories i've had, being part of the "happy" room..haha..taking digs at Sharon..all the memorable stuff..THANK YOU!! huimin & sharon for making my stay/study in Brisbane that much easier to pass and enjoy..hee..

now Durham has 6 ppl, each of us in one of the rooms..haha..now the "temp" household include 6 ppl!! how exciting..lolz, i know June is very excited..haha..

The results are OUT!!!! i've got 6, 4, 4, 5!!! which translates to a distinction for Globalisation & Business, passes for Doing Business in Europe and Business Policy & Strategy, and a credit for IMC...

it's considered a good result for me, having a distinction to end my final semester, especially when everyone that has taken it before said that it is not an easy course to score. Especially more so ever since i got my biz policy assignment back and i flunked it 2/30, i churned all my energy and focus to study for that and just aimed to pass the rest, IMC wasn't too bad cos i was sitting on a high 6 with the 50% coursework, so even if i just passed the final paper i would've gotten a 5 already, so as u all know by now, i walked out of the exam hall in an hour and went to study for the final killer paper instead..so i got a 5, if i had studied more for it i might have even gotten a 6 or a 7, oh well, what's over is OVER!!!

initially i was still pretty afraid that i couldn't even pass this semester and can't graduate but all is well now, preparing for graduation, trying to go to the gym everyday to seriously lose some weight, i have 2 weeks to do so (crosses fingers), i've started packing my stuffs into a box, not a lot to pack though, gonna be giving phoebe and june my shelves, decided to leave the bed for Sharon and Huimin to move to their new house, haha, and GETTING READY TO GO TO MELBOURNE!!! and see ANDREW!! i can't wait!! i bought an elmo toy for him that cost me 60 BUCKS!!! but it's ok, since i have a job..hee..

i received not 1 but 3 postcards from MDM PANG!!! OMG!!! i was absolutely elated when i saw them in the mailbox, turns out she's having her holidays in Bali, i think she should be back in Singapore by now and she DID receive the birthday card i sent her, at first i was still afraid that she might not have received it cos i wrote the postal code wrong..but phew..

and i also received a postcard from JOY TAN!!! from BOSTON!!!haha..thanks Joy, that's 2 you've sent me now..really like it alot cos if you dunno by now...I LOVE SNAIL MAIL!!..hahahaha....

I'M BACK!!!!!

FINALLY FINISHED THE FREAKIN' EXAMS!!!! this is prolly my toughest exams thus far, i've never studied as hard in my life before, at first i thought O levels was the hardest studies i had, but this definately won hands down.

IMC paper on Wed, finished it in an hour and headed out, as Garry put it, i just can't be bothered to sit there and think of the answers to the questions i know nuts about, so i cane out, and they were all so surprised that i headed for the exit on the hour mark.

Went back into the study room and continued with my biz policy, i lost touch with my laptop for 2 days there, as i was really determined to put the blardy biz policy paper behind me. If dumb steen had came up with something really similar to previous years' papers we would have all aced it, but as u noe it, he's bastard enuff to flunk half the cohort for the 30% assignment, he came up with a pretty different paper especially for the 4 questions on the lecture topics, the other 2 questions were on the tutorial readings, at least he wasn't that spastic to ask about the topic which most of us did read, he came up with Nutt and Courtney, which KS, Garry, Gabriel and I all did the 2 questions cos we had discussed it and could almost memorise it backwards, lolz, but we had to do 4 questions, so i did the qns on Corporate Governance and Resources. Previous years' question on Corporate Level Strategy was all the same, basically there are 3 sub qns, if not only 1 sub qns is diff, this time all the 3 sub qns were different i was like WTF, i nearly panicked for a moment when i flipped open the exam qns booklet, i tot i was taking a different paper, i took a deep breath and analysed the questions again and thankfully i could do 4, they are 15 marks each and i MUST score 40/60 in order to pass the entire course cos i flunked the assignment..

Just came back from a 3 days road trip to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast if you guys are wondering where i disappeared to, too tired to post pictures in this entry, i will post it tmr after i wake up, am gonna take a nice long sleep after this, it's been a long time that i haven't woken up after 9am..shall pamper myself for a bit and just slack the whole day tmr, been spending quite a lot of money too, esp during the exam period cos we had to eat out and buy stuff to sooth the soul after a hard daý of studying, retail/food therapy..hee..shall blog more about my trip tmr..so stay tuned..

ps, nearly forgot, we had a post exam celebration feast on saturday, with cereal prawns, teriyaki salmon, chilli crab, spring roll...BIG FEAST!!!..shall post them up soon too...

taking a break from all the IMC notes..they are driving me CRAZY!!! it's like so common sense...yet so theoratical...i would've passed anyways if i had not studied for it and focused all my time on friday's biz policy paper...but i really didn't want just another 4 on my transcript..so i should really study for it...if u hadn't known yet, i will need 40/60 for friday's paper if i want to pass the course...make that 39.5 to be exact..sounds nicer, anyways, me and my mates are all gonna be aiming for 55/60 and ace that f**king paper...

decided to upload some pictures of my activities prior to the exams, and some of them taken during the exam study period..

plus, we are all gonna wear RED on friday..

3 more days till the end of all the madness..but i dun wan the friday paper to come so soon, i need more time to prepare for it, that lecturer better not screw us over with a totally different paper cos the previous years' exam papers all have similar questions...if not too different, but we are all gonna be prepared for any curve balls he throws us, just not too far out till outside the stadium then this cohort's failing rate's gonna be pretty f**king high..

finally back to blogging..been REALLY REALLY busy with all the assignments and what not, i have another news review due tmr and i HAVEN'T STARTED!!! oh my oh my!!!!shall finish blogging quickly and get back to the blardy news review.

FINALLY FINISHED AND HANDED IN MY BIZ POLICY & STRATEGY REPORT ON BEACH PETROLEUM TODAY..THANKS THIAN FOR COMING TO PICK ME UP ON DA WAY TO SCHOOL!!!felt like a huge rock lifted off my shoulders..but no time for rest..debate meeting tmr..biz policy presentation meeting on friday..the power points in the house broke down when we were playing badminton in school..thank goodness the agent was quick to respond to our distress calls and sent an electrician our way..although he came quite late but nevertheless, he managed to fix up the plugs for the fridge and the laptops..which were the most important! Sharon kinda has a thing for the electrician..whom i would say if he didn't have that beard he'd be SOOO much more good looking..lolz..

Sharon made spring roll today..GOOD!! didn't go for table tennis today though..my legs were sore and had to prepare for tmr's meeting..and Sharon is making Soya Bean and Beancurd!!..Huimin and I tried our hands at squeezing the bean bag..TOUGH JOB!!

Went for Youth Alive Hillsongs United concert on saturday at Garden City Christian Church..nice songs..good atmosphere...humourous pastors that made preaching more interesting..lolz..he was talking about a twisted world..bullying in school is twisted, BGR and messy breakups are twisted, 27 dresses is also twisted because the sisters wanna be each other rather than themselves..and how God created everyone to be themselves/unique/with a purpose, that's why everyone's DNA and fingerprints are different..Huimin said something that made me go..ooo..that Science is discovery God's wonderful works..which i kinda went hmm..haha..

I live in a "Christian" house here...am surrounded by Christian friends..i do hear alot of the word of gospel..but..yea..it's just more knowledge for me..hahahahaha...

I WENT TO DONATE BLOOD YESTERDAY!!! i really felt that it is a meaningful thing to do - Sharing life's best gift. it was my maiden trip, was really nervous at first, but the people there really took care of me as a first timer..they made sure i was comfortable and feeling alright after the donation..i know that when donating blood in Singapore, it's done sitted down, here its down lying down, i didn't dare to look when the nurse was piercing in the needle...i felt kinda pain on the arm...after it was done, actually it was not as painful as i thought it would be, i looked at my arm...and the needle is REALLY HUGE!!..u noe the pocky biscuit that you can get almost everywhere??..yea, the needle's kinda that size without the choc and strawberry part, jus the biscuit..that's the thickness of the needle...

they almost couldn't find a thick enough vein to poke the needle through..but thank goodness they checked both arms with the blood pressure thing and touching with their fingers instead of poking everywhere with the needle...and another thing..my veins were going sideways..but there's nth wrong with me thankfully, they freaked me out for a second when they said my veins were going sideways, cos usually the needle is parallel to the arm but mine was bout 45 degrees..haha..

as i felt the warm blood pass through the tubes...i dunno if it's the sudden loss of blood that i felt a bit groggy..or i really felt this really overall positive feeling surrounding me like i'm helping to save lives....that night (which is last nite) was really cold, but i was lazy to change to the quilt nad i thought i could take it..in the end, i think i couldn't really sleep in the middle of the night cos it was getting REALLY cold...i had the blanket covering me from head to toe..but i was still freezing..mind you i had socks on with long pants..

and i had 2 of the weirdest dreams..one was that the nurse called me the next day telling me that there is something wrong with my blood...cos they seperated out another smaller pack for testing to see if there's any disease or blood related disorders b4 releasing the blood for patients...the nurse told me that i had Leukemia!!! my god!! i nearly freaked out!! i was told that i had to undergo treatment in Australia and it's gonna cost my family a BOMB!!!..

the next dream was that i went back to KL, and was taking care of a really cute stray kitten..and some relative is so angry that i am caring for the kitten in the house that he took out a cane and started whacking at the kitten but i protected it with my body so i was suffering the cane instead..after that i started shouting at the relative and nearly punched him or whacked him real hard...and my cousins came and started to shout at him also and the whole scene was just really chaotic...

told Huimin, June and Sharon today over coffee and chips and they were positive that the maiden blood donation had gotten me all bonkers for a night...so today i was REALLY tired..wanted to start on my biz policy assignment in the end i didn't AGAIN!!!!..missed debate meeting with raymond and amy..so sorri...will make it up doubly hard on thurs...tmr really have to do things already!!..

the lecturer was saying yesterday that for ppl that are halfway done on the assignment, they are considered to be quite slow..then i was like..dang it..i haven't even started.. I AM SO SCREWED!!..April's almost ending...the May calendar is scary looking...with lots of stuffs written on it...

OMG!!! this last semester is really fulfilling, memorable, busy...wadever wadever...going for the Hillsongs Youth Alive Concert this saturday with the usual people..hope it'll be nice..hee...went swimming today after lecture..the water was not cold...quite nice to swim in the pool..with the warm sun upon the skin..but the weather is very cold..

BUSY WEEK!!! finally cleared IMC presentation..it was kinda last minute considering that we only started 1 week before the actual presentation..but we did put in long hours into it, lots of effort, came up with a teaser ad storyboard, an actual 30sec commercial, posters for billboards, transforming them into bus stop ads...that's really a lot of work..we got back our marks today, 17.6/20...we could've gotten more if we had more theory content..but we scored full marks for our use of visual aids..our main aim was to get more than the 1st group, they did the topic on advertising and it WAS A REALLY DEAD PRESENTATION and they got 17 so we HAD to have higher...even though is was only a bit higher but i'm still satisfied..Amy, David and Thian not really satisfied with the marks and are pissed with the tutor (who happens to be from Singapore, TP as well, but she prolly stayed here for some time since she had a bit of the accent)..but i like the tutor..she's quite nice..STRICT..but nice..at least she managed to pronounce my name right on the first day, that usually makes a GREAT impression for me..haha..and today she bombarded me with tutorial questions and i handled myself well..haha..she bombarded our presentation with questions as well which we managed to think quick and the spot and earned her praise..haha

Cleared Globalisation & Business mid sem on tuesday...cleared IMC mid sem today..my shoulders seem lighter...but i have a mid semester essay due on wed which i HAVEN'T started..dunno wad's wrong with me on wed, so restless and tired..was supposed to be studying in the library for a couple of hours before table tennis in the evening in the end i slept throughout...and i went to table tennis and i LOST ALL MY GAMES!! i even lost to a guy who is NOT GOOD AT ALL...i'll give him credits for having improvements but WAD THE HECK..even the guys at the club were asking wad's wrong with me..accumulated lack of rest maybe??...haven been swimming everyday..today was a cold day plus midsem day so didn't go for a swim..tmr i shall head to school for a swim...

I'M BACK!!..haha.. back to blogging..not back in Singapore..lolz.

it's been a tiring week, with going to gym, tutorials, group meetings, lectures, basketball, beach volleyball, swimming....i'm so shacked and aching throughout that i gave the UQ open yesterday a miss, since i know that i won't be able to perform my best, why should i go and waste money.

so instead stayed at home and managed to do some housework and schoolwork.

IMC presentation's on friday, and my group only just started like 2 days ago, meeting again on tuesday at my house for discussion as well as dinner, which will be cooked by me!..lolz

Globalisation and Business debate on tuesday, topic is "Will poverty ever end"? we are on the con side so not too bad, my group have all the information done up, it's only a matter of taking the more important and substantial points due to the amount of time we have..

Just finished group training from table tennis and i'm in the Durham household right now, dropped my laptop here before training to do some downloading..heehee...will be heading home soon in another hour's time..Phoebe provided fried rice and green bean soup for me!! no time to go back and prepare dinner liao..yea!!..haha..

And oh ya, i know how to play a song on the guitar!!!! haha, so excited..still practising but making progress, next up will be singing along to just playing, cos i was just playing the song on the guitar for my family over the webcam, after i finished and said that that's all to it cos the whole song sounds the same, the whole room burst out laughing..so demoralising..haha..they were saying cos i only play the song so they oso dunno wad i'm playing..but ok la, since i managed to pick the instrument up and learnt a song in one night thanks to Wei Thian..haha..BTW, the song is Love Will Keep Us Alive by Eagles..so yea..haha..more practising needed..need to learn other chords too...

It's a monday and nope i'm not having monday blues..just that it's raining right now and i really dun feel like going to school..so yeap, today's the first time i'm missing lessons, but it's still ok since the recording of the lecture will be uploaded onto blackboard.

Had wanted to go for a swim today after class but i guess that's so not happening since it's raining, had Sunshine Coast Table Tennis Competition yesterday, well, nott too bad, i got into quarter-finals, i should've won but not quite sure what happen in the last 2 sets, i lost to a aussie guy, 3-2. Sigh, i went on to umpire his semi-final match with a not too bad kid, and HE LOST 3-0, damn i could've won the kid and went on to the finals and VERY MUCH could've been runner-up since the winner was MUCH better than me..haha, anyways, the winner can't join C-Grade anymore in the next coming competition cos the organisers says that he is too good for C-grade, which means i HAVE A CHANCE the next time, which is sometime mid-april in Toowoomba.

Been going to the gym regularly the whole of last week, 40 mins on monday, 40 mins on tuesday, 4 hours of tennis and 3 hours of competitive table tennis on wed, taking a break on thursday to rest my body, 3 hours of tennis and 20 mins of gym on friday, individual training with Mr Kim for 45 minutes to prepare for Sunday's matches on saturday, and a whole day of table tennis yesterday...Phew.. it's been a really fruitful week, shall be lazy for today and just laze around at home, gotta cook later though..

So happy on saturday when i saw Liwen and Irene in Jackpot when Sharon and I went for lunch, they told me tha i look a bit slimmer..haha..and i told them that i have been in the process of going to the gym more determined than ever to lose weight this semester, and and snacking on chips and soft drinks..

Graduation date is out, family's gonna be coming over on the 16th of July, flying off to Melbourne on the 19th to visit relatives..i have no idea why sometimes i talk to my mum on the webcam i get really flustered and hot-tempered..hai..gotta tone that down a bit..and yes if you ppl are wondering if i still talk to my mum everyday the answer is YES..haha..i guess even though the conversation is short at times i feel nice talking to my mum, just that sometimes i wanna just complain to her a bit about the day's activities and she comes around and nag on me i get really frustrated, like yesterday i tried to rant a bit on the competition on how i lost and she went on to say, "nah, see, people see through your strategy and weakness liao" .. i'm like WTF.. you could've said something like, aiya, nvm will do better next time..chey..small thing..heck..

but yesterday's performance has been my best thus far, shall go onto ratingscentral.com to check on my rankings and points..haha..although i think it's gonna be very low..lolz, shall enter B-grade too the next time round..my last semester in Uni and last chance to really play competitive table tennis so better make full use of it..unless i play for Eunos CSC when i go back to singapore...haha..which might be a good idea..haha..

Really sorry for the lack of updates...

In case some of you don't know it yet...i'm back in Brisbane!!!..finishing up my last semester of studies...school's started for a week already, not too bad...some of the courses seem pretty interesting, and IMC seems to have a very intimidating workload, of which 1 is to conduct a 45 minute workshop with the class...OMG..sounds scary...Globalization and business has a debate component..YIKES!!!..

Reached Brisbane on a really HOT saturday morning last week on the 23rd of Feb...didn't really get much sleep on the plane and i have no idea why...no tears this time though...haha...it's a mixed kinda emotion coming back..4 months will pass by very quickly this time round..shall enjoy my last semester as a student status..come August, will go home and find a job and start earning back some money..

Yesterday was the Gold Coast day trip, where we went to Harbourtown, Carrara Market as well as Surfer's Paradise..bought some stuffs..had a good time...took alot of pictures from different cameras..haha...was dead beat when i got home so didn't join the others at Phoebe's for packed home dinner..

Tutorials' starting from this week onwards..hope that i can REALLY do some consistent studying this time round...

THE YEAR OF THE RAT!!..

back from KL..a 9 days break from the hustle and bustle of Singapore..this year was unlike other years..heard alot of stories of the family..interesting happenings..ridiculous relatives..and totally horrible/terrible/brainless/unbelievable/idiotic "dried fish" that has his arse stuck on the 2nd floor of the house..having kids at the age of 65..OMG..i dunno whether to laugh or to cry..

nevertheless, amidst the dumb things and people around, i still enjoyed my time with my beloved cuzzies and nephews..gossiping is always a nice time killer..especially when everyone gets out of the house to do it..HAHA!!..i just can't wait to see what stupid things will happen in time to come..

my cousin Joanne is getting married to a caucasian in May..too bad i can't go back during that time..so excited, we're gonna have mixed ethnicity niece/nephew in the future...adding to the cute bunch of the little kids we have in the family now..

so fast!, i'm going back to Brisbane next friday..NEXT WEEK!!..oh my GOSH!!..

oh my gosh!!..my body clock is pretty screwed up these few weeks...time check, it 2.14am right now...wad the heck am i doing online!!??..i'm supposed to be sleeping in a bid to be able to wake up early tmr to go for a swim if the weather's good..

nowadays i can't really sleep cos it gets pretty warm in the night, i think i've only managed to fall asleep like 3-4am in the morning..and this is doing no favour to my already very screwed up complexion...oh man...wad to do wad to do!!..

been catching up with Australian Open this couple of weeks...Finals on Saturday!!..Maria Sharapova VS Ana Ivanovic, as much as i admired Ana Ivanovic's come back game against Danielle Hantuchova, i'll have to go with supporting Maria Sharapova..too bad i'm working on Saturday...CANNOT WATCH!!..

Jo-Wilfred Tsonga!! major upset for Rafael Nadal...can't wait to see who he will play in the finals...Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic..

so i'm back from Hong Kong..haha, it was a nice trip, eat and shop, eat and shop, but it was a surprise that i actually lost 1kg after i came back from Hong Kong, i think it's cos of all the walking, we were walking around all day, from morning till night..

reached singapore on the 31st, had our routine New Year's buffet wth Whui and family, i think it's cos of all the eating, i was actually so sick of eating after that, well, i was literally sick after the buffet, the works man, flu, cough, sore throat, fever....again, lost a couple of KGs after that..nowadays i think of what i wanna eat, i actually dun have that kinda anticipation, so sian of eating..really..haha

not entirely well yet though, still having a bit of the coughs and sneezing..have been heading down to NUS for 4 times now to support the team at the IVP this year, they didn't win anything but it's really nice to see the team bonding still there since i graduated...time flies, it's been almost 3 years since i played my last game for TP..

will be working hard this week, from thurs till sunday..will finally be having our long awaited FISH N CO meal with the scoopz gang next saturday, and will be heading down to huimin's for dinner with the brissy gang...full of activities for next week...i wonder wad my work schedule will be like for next week??..hmm...

going back to KL on the 2nd of feb for CNY, will only be coming back on the 11th...i think it's the longest CNY i have spent in KL..9days man..i am SOOOO gonna bring my laptop there if not i WILL die of BOREDOM!!!..

WOAH!!..it's been a BUSY BUSY 2 weeks plus..busy with work work and more work..and i just turned 21 on friday!!!..OMG!!..it was a wonderful day..thanks to all the people who made it possible and successful, it will surely be 1 that i will remember for the rest of my life..

it was really great to see all my beloved friends again, as well as the new bunch of best buds from sunny down under!!my aussie mates!! it's as if i haven't seen them in ages!!..was really nice seeing everyone back in hometown singapore..

received lots of really really nice gifts, thank you all so much!! the night would've been perfect if Mdm Pang had come, something cropped up and she couldn't make it in the end, to think that i was estatic when she told me that she would be coming..oh well, guess i'll have to see her some other time. in case for some people who are wondering who this Mdm Pang is, she is my secondary school teacher that has inspired me in many ways and to always strive for the best, with her words of encouragement, she has always managed to let me see light at the end of the dark tunnel, even when i was in Brisbane..
